It should be easy for the auto companies to figure out that the pricing of new vehicles has far outpaced the incomes of the average consumer. It should come as no surprise to anyone that people are taking a pass on these overpriced vehicles. Financing allowed them to get away with this for a few years, but the prices are not too high even to finance.

Hybrid is a must in the new Tundra so you can get it off the road after the engine blows. A coworker towed his boat to compare his old Tundra with his new twin turbo. The mileage was about the same. Both were around 11 MPG. His only complaint was the constant shifting with the new one.

Bought a 2018 TRD Offroad with all options except the premium package (didn't want a sunroof), for brand new, $38k. Blue Book has it still at that value, keep it garaged, and mostly WAH. These new Tacomas are ugly, overpriced, and full of crap just to have expensive crap to break and have fixed (dashboard screen vs dials, e-brake vs mechanical brake). No thanks!!

The Ranger Raptor can be had for 10k less than a Pro. They don’t offer incentives off MSRP either and the trucks are piling up. Try to get your hands on a Corolla, Camry, Rav 4, Sienna, etc. You can’t because they are priced right.

I went to look at the trd pro and considered trading my 2022 Tacoma for it. I really liked how it looks but was disappointed and didn’t like the $66k price. I like the gimbal seats and the heritage grill however $66k no thanks .
