It's amazing how they still live like ancient Sumerians. You can see their beautiful reed houses carved in thousands year old clay tables looking exactly the same.

Traditional” and “village cooking” I knew this would be another grand view. Watching the sunrise in a canoe, moving slowly in the water, is a treat. I would fall asleep. So cool to see the water buffalo. I loved the traditional breakfast beautiful presentation. Seeing how the rice bread was made was incredible. All the foods look delicious, especially the date syrup and tahini sauce. I love nature and the serenity of the marsh environment. The homes and hospitality of the people in Iraq were incredible and sincere, as always.

So you and Tasos woke up at sunrise and went on this adventurous boat ride to the marshlands. Don't know anything about these people but it was a bit of a culture shock to me to see how they live. It looks like a very crude and basic way of life. Everything was done without the handy-dandy appliances that we use everyday. As for the rice bread and the way it was cooked - I am not sure that I could eat anything that was cooked cow dung below and cow dung on top. That's called fire below, fire on top cooking, but you all seemed to enjoy it. The funniest part of the trip was seeing Tasos talking to the guy in the canoe and none of them understood what one another was saying . LoL. This was very interesting because of all the things that are happening in the world today, these people still live so comfortably in such a simplistic way. David and Tasos, it was nice to see you both enjoying your trip to the marshlands.🇹🇹🇨🇦

Another great video from David. The marsh lands people of Iraq are one of the nicest people. They live a very simple life, but they are very generous and willing to share whatever they have with their guests. They are descendants of the ancient Sumerians. The old's man singing is very nice, and the lyrics are a little sad. Thanks David!

This is great, I have read about these ancient marshlands in stories, poems, and history books about Mesopotamia. The house structure is probably the same since much early in Sumerian history. What a video, David!

That type of marsh land cold (kolleru Andhra Pradesh India) also here, the Siberian & foriegn birds come here & hach the eggs&grow the child birds & then they go back with their children birds to their own places, the cow dung also used in India, the fire was very hot you will understand, dates cold Tamar in Arabic in India we had Tamar that's Tamar hindi (tamarind), it's sour, days are sweet so the place what will good that's God will give to them, that's the god's gift, like that place the song & music is must to them that is their life, they sung the songs about their life, you try to visit the mosq wich was build in kerale,it has been build in 632 AD so it was before masji e nabavi yaani at that time the nabavi mosq was build in leaves of tamar, so you try to visit that mosq in Kerala kafangallor cheruman (palli) mosq, that mosq was build by some sahaaba ye Rasool like maalik bin deenaar I think,
