This narrative is so corny. Laura Horvath took 2nd place as a teenager and EVERYONE said she's next to win. Same thing happened with Haley Adams. Guess what? Tia is still on top. Justin just took 6th in North America in quarterfinals, then got 3rd in his own semi-finals. Why would he be the favorite to win the Games? Vellner, Noah, Cole, Panchik & BKG all have a better chance and better track record. Justin is great and one day may win the games, because CrossFit fans really gotta stop looking for the "next thing" Just because you are young and performed well once doesn't make you the next GOAT.

I love Justin Medeiros, and I really knew he was going to be the new Fittest Man on earth, after Mat announced that he was (sadly) retiring. Justin is that (naturally) good. And when I saw the video that showed in part, how he grew up, I know that he is going to be a tough one to beat for years to come. So how I wish that Mat Fraser would mentor another kid to compete with Justin, just so that the CrossFit Games will NOT once again be as lopsided as it has been when Mat was king. Maybe the guy from Brazil would be a good one to train, just so to level the playing field a little more. When Mat trained with Tia Toomey, probably everyone agreed with Sean Woodland, the announcer, when he said, albeit in passing, that it was ALMOST UNFAIR that Tia, who was already miles ahead of her competition, gets to train with the best, that is Mat Fraser. There has got to be some leveling of the playing field. Again, my aim in making this comment is not to put down Justin, as he is a lovable kid. I just want to see the Games become more exciting to watch, and ensure that Justin's dominating it, if Mat were to continue to teach him, won't discourage the younger ones from competing. God bless Justin, Adam, and Mat. God bless us all.

Great video.. but i don't understand.. I've seen plenty of other vids of Fraser specifically saying he doesn't pay attention or look at anyone else, he only focuses on his own performance.. then on this video he says how he knows when to push the pace on other videos and researching other people's performances.. Doesnt really matter, both still awesome to watch :D and definitely deserve respect
