One of the most common are public hangings. Mostly because it’s a good excuse to spend tax payers dollars on what is essentially an unexpected 4th of July. Fun/sad fact: when Optimus first transforms, with headphones you can hear him grumble "no Sam, run" (the subtitles said it too) which is telling me that Sam was killed. 😭 Why didn't Bay just show what happened to him, or explain? Bay takes a complete left turn with this movie and introduces a new character worse and less likeable than Sam, doesn't explain what happened to him, and expects us to just roll with it. Ugh.

And even these days "nearly everyone knows who he is" is a bit of a ridiculous thing to say. I've been a fan of KSI since like 2016, and I know he is a massive KZbinr, but ultimately KZbin is still a bit of a bubble. Think of it this way: if you were to stop random people over the age of 30 on the street and ask them who KSI was, most of them still wouldn't have a clue to this day. It's very weird that they even included a scene like this in the movie. Is it to explain Tessa's rebellious nature of her dating older men? It's still super creepy that they even have to go to lengths to explain why it's okay for a seventeen-year-old to date a twenty-year-old. Also, the age of consent in Texas is 17 making that scene completely unnecessary.

Ironically, growing up in Texas, I had a sex ed class in high school, and briefly in one class, we DID in fact cover that very specific Texas statute, and I think it's because the teacher didn't want the students to be scared that their high school relationships were going to age out and become illegal. And now, looking back on that... yeah, that's really weird, huh? EDIT: As I further think about it, Texas's legal age of consent is 17, so this ENTIRE conversation in this film is completely unnecessary and just plain weird.

The logic of the Transformers always bothered me when I was young, because they are aliens, that look like Robots, yet the Hasbro Toys said they were robots and the TV show continuity kept them as Aliens, but for the films Micheal Bay was just like they are whatever they are in the upcoming film.

Actually, I used to teach social studies in Texas, and I always made sure that my students understood Texas laws in terms of age of consent. I wanted to make sure the boys understood that they could get in legal trouble at some point if they broke those laws, and I also wanted the girls to understand that if they dated someone older before they turned 17 that there was a possibility that their boyfriend could be charged with sexual assault of a minor. I also made sure they knew that it was the same way if the girl was older.

I think it makes perfect sense that an abusive, boyish meathead guy who makes pathetic gadgets would want to reverse engineer a transformer. And would later go on to last the whole battle when he should have been dead. Everything makes sense. Cade is a jock who was embarrassed to admit he was a nerd in high school, and that's why his inventions are so dumb. He's really far behind his Peers, with no mentor. But he actually is smart enough to hack the drone, so it works. Silly movie, but I like it more than the others.

I actually can’t believe that this is a real film. From the movie openly admitting that the girl is a minor to when Optimus Prime just decides to start FUCKING FLYING at the end, I thought I was going delirious. The deceptions aren’t even in this film. Like what the actual fuck. In a transformers movie. Like I can’t be the only one thinks that this is one of the worst films ever made. And why is it so long!?!? You think the films over when the human made robots are defeated your like finally it’s over. And then lockdown comes back and it goes on for another half an hour. This is an awful, awful experience and a stain on cinema as a whole. This is coming from someone who genuinely loves the 2007 film
