Lilian Okibe you are a natural hair genius gifted with innovative ideas for afro texture hair. I cut my locs two months ago because they were pulling on my hair follicles and thinning my hair, but I really think the thinning came from the lack of care I gave my scalp and hair being lazy with locs, still my locs grew long as can been seen in my profile picture, but I always knew if i can grow my locs long, then I can use that same method to grew my loose hair long, you have the perfect solution. I absolutely love this style. I just did something similar to this style called loose twist. Same concept of twisting tighter at the beginning then twisting loosely. I did them pretty small so it took me about 4 to 5 hrs but I love them. It looks so full. ❤

This is a really cool technique. I love that it allows you to keep the thickness of your hair. Would you recommend it for starting microlocks as well?

Yes. If you leave it indefinitely, your hair will become loc'd for real. To wear as a temporary protective style, do not have them in for more than 4 weeks.❤️❤️❤️

Hey girl are you still answering comments? I’ve watched this video and recreation videos for a few wks now and I feel like im brave enough to do the style on mine & my lil girl head. I just have a few questions to try & do it correctly: -I noticed you said you washed your hair the day before. Im getting ready to start right now (it’s 8:42am rn) but I washing my hair 1st of course. Should I wait until tomorrow to start them after I wash my hair today or can I start them today after I wash my hair? -Did you moisturize your hair before you started your locs or after? I moisturize my hair doing the LCO method (I use hair grease instead of oil as a sealant)? Should I use different products like Shea butter for this style? You can start it today but it may not look like locs immediately if your hair is coily when wet. This is why I recommend to wait until it is dry or somewhat dry. This will not be a problem if your hair is as kinky as mine; in this case, you can do it whether wet or dry. Yes I moisturised my hair after washing. You can use the products you already have but I usually recommend shea butter because it holds the ends in place without unravelling and keeps the ends moisturised so that it doesn't tangle while you wear the style. No other product does the job as good as shea butter. It is okay if you do not get it on your first attempt, you'll get better with practice.❤️❤️❤️

I just found your channel and watched this video. I'll be glad if you'd respond. I wish i had found you earlier I'd be more than a year loc'd by now. Anyway I'm almost two weeks in by this Thursday and I'm reconsidering taking out my twists and trying this. May be try with 2 or 3 and see how it looks before doing my entire head. I have very loose hair at the back and slightly loose in front. Do you think this will work for me? And how long does this method take to get my hair loc'd? My hair is a frizz magnet and i love it so I'm really hoping this suits my hair and looks like yours and gets thick. I have 60 locs my perfect number and i intend to keep it that number cause i want them thick. Any other advice please I've been binge watching your channel.

Awwwwn! I am so glad that you find my content helpful. Thank you so much for watching.😍😍 This method will work for you if you have kinky-coily hair (I can see you do from your picture). As for the frizz, the frizzier the better. With kinky-coily hair, it normally takes about 3 months for it to be loc'd and feel firm and it gets more and more firm with time but the good thing about this method is that people think your locs are mature after about 3 washes because it looks that way. You can try a few first to see how you like it. However, I should warn you that you will experience more shrinkage with this method but that also helps with the thickness. ❤❤
