Nothing beats a day of wrenching with the gang, today we make some major progress on the 240sx project car. Later we determine wheel specs on the Nissan Gloria Y32 restoration project, as well at the Nissan 300zx z32 project car.

For future polish work. They make powder coat that is basically indistinguishable from chrome work and way easier to take care of when clear coated

Chrome powder isn’t as good as real chrome, multiple coats smooths out the finish but any powder coat can be cut and buffed just like paint

Find chrome shop who handle oldschool restoration. Chrome over aluminum are challenging, needs triple plating (copper, nickel, then chrome)

Hey Mike couldn't you have just guesstimated how much extra gas you poured in and then just added that amount to your fillup to get fairly close to the correct MPGs? As to the wheel for rechrome, I'd just hang onto it just to reduce the chance of it being lost or damaged while sitting around a shop waiting for your buddy to get back from vacation. 6 weeks of floating around a shop is a long time!
