I had no idea how to make a bridge. Using the period/comma buttons cleared everything up. Thank you!

I knew about the . , thing but what i was doing wrong was not making the span first, then bring up the tracks to it. Dont know how i hadnt tried that before but there you have it. TYVM!!!

I have worked out what I was doing wrong, I was holding the shift key down. It now works amazing, thank you.

Thanks. I did a search on youtube and your video was first on the list. Since it was 'just what the doctor ordered', then I gave it a like and subscribed.

Thanks for the simple tutorial. Bridges were a mystery for me.

Two ways to solve the speed issue with trains. A. Put all roads that aren't rail either over or under the railroads OR B. Elevate the entire train system.

GREAT tip. Well done

One thing I haven't seen you doing, so I'm not sure if it's due to maintenance cost or something you're not aware of...if you do a bus stop directly opposite another one (so they're facing each other across the street), the game treats them as separate platforms of the same stop. That means that you can choose the most convenient direction for particular routes, and have one route transferring passengers to another route without the vehicles getting into each others way. The downside is that you're paying maintenance costs for both sides so building maintenance for the "stop" doubles. But in busy places, it would let you link up tram lines so that one line used one side of the road and looped away, while the other side was used by a second route. It should also mean you can have more passengers waiting at the stop, because with 2 you've doubled the waiting area.

Yep! I discovered that little interaction and on a future video, I'll explain it (to anyone who hadn't discovered it themselves) and when *I* like to use it and when I like to stick to one.

thanks for the video.. exactly what i needed.. how to build a raised bridge over water that boats can travel under. the period/comma thing never comes up in tutorial or tips doing the campaign that I remembered. thanks man

When you are drawing any road, track or bridge, you can hit M or N to change the elevation of the middle part of the segment.

those old trains that don't do well on tight curves, do they crash?

Thanks man. I've been fighting with those stupid bridges for 2 days. It helps knowing that I can build the upper span first and then the tails. I love this game, but it hasn't quite reached the level of cities skylines yet
@alekseykarpenko Жыл бұрын
These games are completely different, there is no reason to compare them, as each is best in their own niche. Cities Skylines is a *city builder*, while TF/TF2 is a *transport (mostly railroad, as it started with Trains Fever game) tycoon*. You would never compare SimCity and Railroad Tycoon, would ya? You dont have such flexible tools to build railroad in Cities Skylines, as well missing some city building functions in TF2.

Nice vid. Exactly what I was looking for. Can I make just one recommendation though? Turn the game's music off when making videos.

I have tried to build the bridge as you showed us but it will only build when it is about 2 to 3 times the height of the train, other than that it ends up just as a pile of dirt

The 'problem' I have with trains in games is the total disregard for REAL WORLD limiting factors regarding curve radius and slopes. The slopes and tight curves you see in every game ARE NOT POSSIBLE.
