The silent nod is usually a sign of acknowledgement or greeting. Down nod is a nod to someone you dont really know but are trying to be friendly. An up nod is a nod to someone you know well, trust, or are friends with.

I can understand why people do the silent nod. Heck, I do it with strangers sometimes when we make eye contact. But those fans are probably just a bit shocked and they can't think of what to do or say other than just nod

I would think "the silent nod" would be like best/respectable way to say hello to them.. Like i would imagen they would hate: "OMG CONNER!!" and start up a scene after a long day at a con. :)

Connor's cab experience can be awkward sometimes but the most frustrating cab/uber rides are those times when the moment you enter the car the driver immediately ask for a tip like they're asking for a favor and at the back of mind I just think "Bro, we haven't even left yet."
@Ash_Wen-li2 жыл бұрын
I think it's a pretty rude expectation to think that all of the change is going to be your tip, even if it's most likely the case. Usually when I pay like that I'll say, "Keep the change". But it's never been my experience where a waitress or someone just took all the money and didn't give any back.
@baltulielkungsgunarsmiezis97142 жыл бұрын
Latvijā tipping is culturally considered rude and legally bribery, so latvieši never tip anyone if you took a latvieša money as a tip he would call you a thief and demand you return it immedietally.

Dude. I tip that way too!!! Give me all of my change and then I will give you the tip! I’ve had so many cabbies act so weird about giving me all of my change! Change first, tip second, no negotiation! Like I’ve had to say that out loud before bc the cabbie was stalling so much like in Connor’s story.

Compared from a lot of other creators, I gotta say, these three have A LOT OF PATIENCE. From what I heard you reaally try to not only not be agresive (wich they have the right to be as rude they want to some of these people, they don't need to social lecture them why that's not OK lol) they even go back and say they "weren't THAT BAD" lol. I gotta think the Anime cons prepare them to handle extreme awareness

it is shit like this that reminds me I never want to be famous in any capacity I would have no patience for it I would be calling people out for their random bullshit all the time fuck being polite you have to establish boundaries with people as fast as possible and doing that with people who recognize you all the time sounds exhausting, famous people shouldn't exist we should all just be known from where we are from and that is it cause people just lose their minds in these kind of situations never mind socially awkward people who have barely been out of their houses

Also view this from a lens of non neurotypical people, who may be high functioning autistic or an Asperger’s who literally can’t read people. And since you guys are so friendly, they probably think they that people who they see and they meet they can become friends with. And you explained it so well to him Connor. And then you told him what was appropriate and why. Thanks for not holding it against them if they don’t get the social norms. Love you guys.
