Traxxas Maxx Slash (New Motor, New Servo, & More)

Hey Jason, Great channel, I've been a long time watcher. My buddy and I have been in the hobby for 35+ years. He bought a Maxx Slash and he did the same mods you did except he was running no reverse and drag brake was what brought the front down. He's been able to jump this thing very very level after that. Good video. As another Canadian, I find $950 for the Maxx slash isn't worth it. For cheaper, you can get a Maxx v2. Keep up the good work

To jump this and do corrections in air you need to get rid of belted tires What I did and it worked was Upgraded to the steel axle with 17mm hexes from traxxas $99 and then put the Mohave 6s wheels on it which are almost the exact same size wheel as belted wheels and it made major difference in air corrections and driving in general not barrel rolling down track anymore

Love the motor combo, i have one that ive done alot to as well, you should try the wide maxx kit on it with some more agressive tires, as it comes stock is great for tracks but for jumping and bashing it needs bigger tires.

I've thought of the widemaxx kit. But I want to keep it looking like a sc truck. I still have a few more ideas for this truck.

I have the same ramps and when I jump my MaxxSlash I just keep the ramp on the lowest angle setting. It will still jump ten feet or so in the air and I do have enough air control to level it out. Not sure where you set yours.

Personally I don't get why so many people are trying to jump this rc like all rc's should be ths same. If you want to jump a short course get the Mojave you have the suspension for it. Hot racing servo saver, horn, servo and the shock extenders actually makes it a fun driving rc for jumps just get something else just my 2 cents

I completely agree with you. I love my Maxx Slash bit I don't jump it a lot I just drive it with my grandson and have fun. Not looking to spend a ton on upgrades for it but may try a different tire

@RcSpeedFreak-kk8wj marketing was way off they never should have sold this as a basher you cant change the parachute effect and little suspension they have you can believe the high dollar hype or the people that paid to buy this didn't get it for free

@pacertsmith3886 thank you I enjoy mine I have a kc rc ramp I jump plus a good spot I test.cars and this is just painful to try to jump its a great ground car personally if I want to jump I will grab the Xmaxx, Kraton or the Asuga xlr to name a few even the 6s Mojave can handle jumps I wouldn't launch it sky high but its way better than the maxx slash
