I'm 37 and retiring from the Marines within the next few months. I intend to use my education benefits through the VA to get from .5 TT (discovery flight, lol) to ATP with a school in southern California. Your content is priceless 🙏🏻 thank you for doing what you do, and congratulations on the FO spot with the regional!! I'll be using your videos daily to "pre-study" and be ahead of the game.

Awesome video. It should help me be prepared when it's my turn in the left seat with you. It also gives me the chance to practice radio calls with the actual tail number of the plane I'll be training in.

Can you talk about your total training costs in the past 13 months? And how many flights hours you have when you attend skywest job interview? Thanks

Great to see what it's like training with you. I'm in my 30s (also in Boise) looking into this as potential career change. You said your school offered accelerated programs and a big part of that was access to examiners. Would a student training with you have access to simulator, examiners, etc... in a way where they could, if equally driven and talented, get the ratings you did in a similar time frame and budget that you accomplished?

Potentially. Please send me a DM.

Thanks Trent. That was a bazar ride with the bush pilot. BTW, quick question, is there any rule that requires pilots to report other pilots to the FAA when they do something dangerous? Also, please tell Andrew thanks from the viewers for letting us watch.

Thanks for the video, a lot of videos skip some of checklist parts, and radio comms transmissions, so it was cool to listen too, more realistic instead of the exciting parts. Just started my ground school with kings a couple days ago.

Any advice on getting over the initial fear of flying? Having issues on take off and short and final. I think I just need to trust the airframe more. Straight and level and some of the slow maneuvers don’t seem so bad.

FAA denied my medical for the time being because I am taking a pain killer that's not approved and the AME I talked to said it will cost thousands of dollars and take at least a year now to get it. :(

I was curious as to which flight school you did in Ohio? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
@trent_dyrsmid4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! The school that I attended does not want me sharing their name on my social media because every time I do their phone explodes. They have no interest in training private pilots. The only thing that they really want to do is provide accelerated training for CFI and multi engine ratings. So…to help my viewers find a school that does want to train private pilots, I’ve just formed a partnership with a terrific school in Arizona. You can watch a video about it here flywithtrent.com/flight-training-in-mesa/
