And hilariously enough, Pflax is way more accurate than either of them. Some people never get a adult mind, and the difference between Pflax and the other two demonstrate this fantastically.

@@StalkTheHype I mean, if I'm gonna be 100% honest, it's entirely based on perspective. None of them is empirically right or wrong. The concept of an 'adult mind' is nebulous & ephemeral, changing in meaning depending on context.

@@StalkTheHype I feel like it's just another way for people to relive their childhoods. There's a reason why remakes are the hottest craze and why a lot of people keep going back to the familiar media they consumed as a kid. Also, Disney has a large enough adult audience where Disneyworld is absolutely targeted to adults as well

There are plenty of things going on in a Disney theme park that adults can appreciate. That's just a rational understanding of theme parks. Pyrion is being completely unreasonable with his assessment, which appears to be based on whatever bias he has against Disney and ignorance.
@Rajivrocks-Ltd.
@Rajivrocks-Ltd. Жыл бұрын
It still baffles me how close minded Pyrion is. It's fine to say "in my opinion blah blah blah" but he brings it in such a matter of fact manner. Come on dude, there is a reason millions of adults and kids love Disney, the parks, the movies and the songs. I am 26 and I love the songs in the disney movies (not so much the new stuff) and I love the stories the movies tell. I am an adult, but that doesn't mean I can relife my childhood and experience new wonderful movies which, a lot of the time, are really touching and emotional.
@markhackett2302
@markhackett2302 Жыл бұрын
Pyrion lives in his own head. That's the main reason. Someone he trusts will say a thing and if it gets in, "suddenly" he comprehends. A lot like a grandparent who watches Fox. They will live thinking a thing or coming to a conclusion and never think it could ever be wrong. That is were Pyrion lives, in his head until someone he feels he can trust says something that should have been obvious given ANY thought for a few seconds, but not once did he think that was needed. That goes back to "Why all these dudes complaining, we're just talking like old dudes conversing with each other in a pub, and I don't think anyone should butt into that!" and then Sips says "Yeah, but we make a podcast about it, if we were in a pub, we don't.". And "suddenly" Pyrion instead of thinking how his anger at others is justified, is made to consider how those other people would be justified by someone who put a TINY bit of thought to how that would happen.

@@Rajivrocks-Ltd. Replied to somebody else with this, but the PRIME example to me is the episode in which Pyrion says that (I think Death Stranding was the focus?) that games without endings and meaning essentially suck. When Sips brings up Dota 2 as an example, Pyrion replies with some bullshit weak justification when everybody knows what a MOBA is and it's lack of actual narrative meaning as much as it is about the joy of epic moments and solid teamwork (about 1% of the time, the rest is hating yourself obviously we're talking about Dota)

Pyrions complaint, in particular, that the idea that Disney is more of an experience, makes me want to go to such a place more. I like the idea of a place where you just enjoy beautiful sights, with a nice atmosphere. That said, I do feel Disney isn't my cup of tea, bit too copyright heavy for me, and too child focused-- but I don't see any reason to fault people that want to see the sights. Even if it's just the architecture, and even maybe have a callback to their youth, in a pleasant environment.

Disney World is no joke, and some of the rides are actually super cool, not like jawdroppingly terrifying but real roller coasters nonetheless. Rock and Roller Coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy, most of the Star Wars stuff, flying one of those blue things from Avatar, some of the best rides I've ever been on. The measures they go to to push the bounds of what coasters can do, the lengths they go to immerse you in the "magic", its just straight impressive no matter your age. Me and my folks couldn't stop jabbering about the engineering and architecture. The food is good (but very expensive) with vegetarian and vegan options. Some of the cocktails they make slap. The tour of the world at Epcot has great food and gorgeous buildings. I mean it's unforgettable.

Man, Pyrion really gets on my nerves when he goes on about certain stuff. Preface: I'm not a Disney fan, nor have I been to their parks, but I know what's there bc at this point who doesn't. Not only are there plenty of things for adults to enjoy at Disney parks (they even serve alcohol at some of them!), I don't really think "You're too old for that" is a valid reason to shit on someone for enjoying *anything.* ~15 years ago, LEGO was mainly a kid thing, so much that the term AFOL (Adult fans of Lego) was coined to represent this new demographic. Same thing happened with video games early on. In fact, those latter two things are, I think, identical to theme parks in this sense. They all started out as something "for kids," but adults took an interest and they started making products/parks geared toward adults. So my question for Pyrion is, why don't you shame adults for playing Nintendo games? Or building Lego sets "meant for kids?" The whole argument is nonsense.

Dude says to me; 'well, you know, it is a business...' I looked at him, like; 'OH, OK. I see you. I hear you, friend... ;p' I wanted to smash dude in the face with his receptionist's log book. not to mention that anytime my mother sees a physician, they try to claim she's an ex addict because she's older and needs pain meds. She's been in horse and car accidents in her life and they want my mother to suffer, on the off-hand chance she's an ex drug addict for needing medication... My country is ... rather, frustrating at times, to say the least. we all act so understanding and then we're so cold and indifferent to eachother, because we've all been conditioned to hate eachother. the people who went to school to take the jobs to help others, just went for the money. people come here from other countries because they don't get paid enough for these jobs in their home countries, like in Romania, doctors come to CA all the time. I've been to a clinic nearby that is all eastern european doctors. I wonder why. Just thoughts. have a nice day, regardless. or try to , i guess.

Because when a monster eats a guy it's fake. It's not real. It was done with special effects from the 1700s too so it's fake AND it looks fake. But slicing your hand with a knife or getting a needle put in you is a real thing that could really happen to you. I'm not scared of Freddie Krueger attacking me late at night, because he's a dream demon or something weird y'know, it's not an actual threat. I'm scared of getting mugged and shot/stabbed late at night because you fear things that might hurt you. People fear heights because they can kill you. Freddy Krueger and the thing can't kill you. The suspension of disbelief is the only thing making a monster movie scary, but when it has old ass effects the suspension of disbelief is a lot thinner

Pyrion, i think you should try and better inform yourself on Disney parks, specifically in their documentaries on how intricately their designers try to make the parks as immersive as possible and fun for parents and kids alike. It's an experience in it's entirety that you can't just base off of what you've heard by other people. Take your kids sometime as an excuse but actually try to enjoy it via it's rides and stuff not just the things designed for kids.
