Not going to miss it. Pyrion actually ended up thinking he was a good writer because of all the rabid fans constantly memeing about it, and Bodega lost all it's merit after that. Now he's going to write some shitty book about his self insert 'i'm joking but I'm not joking' character thanks to you people. This is a message to any fandom, stop stroking these people's egos because it's not healthy for anyone involved.

While Bodega is indeed 'art' I don't think the reverence you seem to have for it's description is justified. In high school welding ages ago I made a robot sculpture, that's also 'art.' Apart from that I'm actually a published author, I'm being paid to finish my book by the end of 2018. I don;t think it's right to hail your own work over someone elses, but Bodega is absolutely undeserving of both the praise by fans and the unjustified opinion by Pyrion of himself as an author. *He's mistaking the praise from his minor celebrity for writing talent.*

About the girl most likely she would not be as bad as Pyrion assumed. While they did not bate to the extent that we do today many would take an occasional wash in a river that would maintain at least some level of hygiene. Also in regards to teeth most likely they would be okay as they almost never consumed sugar back then(at least to the levels we do today) and so would not have many things such as cavities that are caused by consuming it. Her dental hygiene would still most likely be poor but nowhere near the level Pyrion assumes. Finally the real shocking thing would be disease as they did not have many of the same concepts we have today and so she would most likely be affected with a multitude of illnesses not to even mention what kind of havoc it would wreak sleeping with someone from 7 centuries ago due to the amount of sicknesses that would be spread by love making.

Its a pretty popular misconception that medieval europeans didn't bathe, or only bathed infrequently. In reality bath houses were very common in every town. Remember that these people were trying to emulate the romans. Its really not that hard to fill a tub with water and bring it up to room temperature.
@yizzardpalmero7 жыл бұрын
When the Bodega book releases, will it come with an audio boon that is Pyrion reading to Sips and Lewis in the same format as previous Bodegas have been? It definately needs to because I absolutely love the way Bodega has been done with the podcast and if its only the text in a book I feel it would lose a little bit of the personality that comes from Lewis and Sips' comments and Pyrion's fantastic voices. I'm already almost definately going to buy the book but it would make me so much happier if this were to be included with it.

Easy way to make a bath in 13 hundreds: Dig a hole near a river or stream; cover the inner walls with clay; embed flat stones in the clay; dig a small canal from river to hole to fill it up; heat up a big ol' rock on a fire; toss rock in water hole and then you have a warm bath.

Does Pyrion actually think peope in the middle ages were savage cavemen? Their personal hygiene was decent, and their diets was more natural (waaaaaaay less sugar) so their teeth were decent even without brushing, and sweat wasn't as "rank" as we are used to. My favorite vegetarian dish is french toast. You take 2 eggs, 4 pieces of bread, some butter, some milk and pepper. Start by heaying a pan with a bit of butter on it. break the eggs on a plate. add milk and pepper then beat together with a fork. dip as much bread as you can fit in the pan. make sure both sides are soaked in egg. cook in the pan. make sure both sides are cooked. salt then either cut them or serve as is.

I for one wont be purchasing a Bodega book if one were to ever be released. The charm of Bodega is in the reading. The 5 minutes or so of each podcast where the music comes on and were treated to a hand brew tale between the triforce, full of laughs for us to laugh along with. Bodega is great. But it's not something I'd want to sit down and read myself, especially in the lengthy form of a book. It sets the atmosphere and thrives in it, but it just wont be the same reading it alone.

Even the smaller medieval towns had public baths, Pyrion. Large cities like London and Paris had over 30 for common people to all come out and bathe together first thing in the morning. The water would be connected through pipes coming from local bakeries where the storage tanks for the water would be located next to the ovens, heated first thing in the morning as fresh bread was being baked to sell. Bath houses were also viewed as dens of sin, though, where men and women were all naked together and some like the Stews in Southwark were literally cover-ups for the brothels located in the backrooms, where the prostitutes would all come out naked in the front baths for the men to gawk at them and choose their girls. A mixture of the rise of syphilis, the black plague, and in England, the Puritans taking over, led to the church and state to crack down on bathhouses though and by the 1600s they went into sharp decline.

Painful enough that I kept vomiting from the pain alone, had to get seismic surgery to break the stone up into smaller pieces so I could pass it.
