So on your other video with the Scorpion dyno run, you said that you gained an extra 5 ft/lbs of torque. If so, doesn't that mean that the Scorpion gives better performance than the Zard? I like the look of the Zard better, it looks very sleek, and the fit looks much nicer and more compact. But I'm leaning towards the Scorpion now for the performance gains.

recently got the scorpion exhaust installed on my trident, with DB killer out... wow it sounds amazing! Now just a question or to whom ever can help. The aftermarket Belly Pan for some reason does not fit when having the scorpion headers on. I assume I need to put bracket extenders on to make it fit correct?

I am not familiar with the aftermarket belly pan but if you reach out to info@motomachines.com the support team should be able to help out.

Thanks for commenting back @@MotoMachines, so what ive done is add spacers in, and the triumph aftermarket belly pan fits perfectly. Now im not sure if you also realised. I ran into issues with the pipe, specially when you have the 3 header pipes connecting to the 3 into 1 collector (I hope I got terms right). That two of them move out / shoot out causing exhaust gas leaking and the censor not reading correctly. After much investigation and adding exhaust bonding. I see that Scorpion have not added additional spring placements ( at 10:35 has one but the other side does not 10:37 ) . I think it's a design flaw from Scorpion Exhaust. I am in touch with them to see if they can fix this issue, will keep updates on what happens

I am not very familiar with this brand. I only have experience with Yoshi, arrow and akra like most people. However, my this one and the zards you have been installing lately look and sound mint. Good to have another alternative...

Scorpion is a great alternative to those other brands. Looks great, sounds great, and often times priced a little better as well.

Is this a bassy sound exhaust?

No, the triple engine doesn't put off that type of sound.

We did not dyno this bike specifically, but the last time we stock dyno ran a Trident 660 it put out about ~73-74hp.

Scorpion says this does not need to be repacked, kinda a noob when it comes to exhausts and needing to be repacked so does anyone know why that would be the case?
@MotoMachines
@MotoMachines 2 жыл бұрын
Most exhaust companies will state that you do not have to repack your exhaust, and for most people that is true. Because, most people(at least in the USA) ride less than 10k miles a year. No exhaust needs to be repacked in that time frame unless you're racing and chasing tenths of a second. I personally would repack any exhaust once the bike reaches 20k+ miles. Reason being is that the fiberglass used breaks down over time, making your exhaust louder and slightly hurting performance.

It entirely depends on where you live and regulations.

Which is better? Scorpion or zard?
@MotoMachines

It is really up to personal preference on which one you like more and what finish/look you want. They're both so close in performance and price that its purely personal preference.

@Brett LaGrange yeah --- and the weld on that Scorpion collector looks like welding class compared to the perfect welds on my Zard.

I know it's been a while but which did you prefer honestly? the zard or the scorpion? I like the zard but the fact that the scorpion is £450 cheaper to buy for me makes me lean towards the scorpion.
@MotoMachines

Both are quality products. The zard seems to be a bit louder whereas the scorpion has a lifetime warranty. It's a toss up.
