No cell phones, no internet, no social media, no texting. We just had each other and our music and it was freaking awesome. I'm 63 now and I lived the 80's. It's hard to put into words.

31 years ago I was there in Devore. It was an amazing day. The field was ROASTING in the hot sun. The colors, the feel, the resonance of so much music in the air, even the smells (dust, suntan oil and pot) had faded over the years, but watching this brought it all rushing back in....vividly. Thanks for posting this.

Hey you know a lot of girls were passing out from the heat ...they were dropping like flies during Ozzy...I was center stage about 13 sardines back and we were picking up passed out people ( 9 out of 10 were girls) and we were hand over hand carrying them towards the front of the stage and medical was waiting for them ...heat stroke.... especially if you stood under 5-10 Im 6-1 my friend tugged on me and when I bent down to hear him swear to God it was 20 degrees hotter and hardly any oxygen... Crazy Train just started (3rd Song) and I told little Billy...hang on to the back of my pants and whatever happens don't let go...I just put my head down and started pushing to the left I must have got slugged HARD 25 times by the time we made it through the Sea of humanity Billy had like 40 people hanging on to the back of his pants single file! I was in 8th grade when this festival was held. Luckily for me there was a 25th anniversary of Woodstock and I made it!! Over the 5-day period there was 550,000+ people that showed up. I and four other guys that I rode with up there to Saugerties, New York were part of that crowd! We left after I was able to find my way back to that little Dodge truck in the Green parking lot, after the end of the Bob Dylan concert. He was 45 mins. late getting to the stage. I was cold, tired and ready to leave, when he finally made it to stage. Peter Gabriel was the last act Sunday night. If I had enough strength and was certain that the guys that brought me there, would wait, I might have stood through his concert.
