So the tension tool will not come out. I'm thinking this is why he removes the tensioner. A socket won't work you'll need that box wrench and thats a 15mm, its not on the list as a box wrench. Don't have one and now I'm trying to figure out how to get the tension tool off! Note I have a 2007 and seems to be a little more difficult to reach in between places. I love this guy's videos, I'm learning a lot need better tools and help.Thanks for your videos!

Excellent video, but this job was made easier for 2 reasons. One, its on a lift. Its a differemt experience on the ground. 2, it doesnt have the plastic cover which makes the job much worse. The Mercury Montego is the same process.

Good video. I had to remove the tie rod to get my alternator out. The alternator was covered with a plastic cover as well.

Quick question..... Did you remove the tensioner because you were replacing it with a New one, Or does it actually make the task easier?

I have that same Bauer Harbor Freight brushless impact that thing is a freaking Beast I use it everyday it never fails

10x easier to access tensioner from the top and zip tie tensioner tool to cross brace.

Usually there a plastic shield over it that makes it hard

Looks like the alternator had already been replaced, based on the Bosch sticker.

This is not the same for 2007 versions of this car. Been going 11 rounds with this stupid ass black cover on the alternator
