Truck drivers living paycheck to paycheck in AMERICA

After having a conversation with an older truck driver who’s been in the industry for 28yrs, I felt compelled to make this video. The purpose of this video is to bring more awareness to our finances so that we can avoid lifestyle inflation and spending money on things that we don’t need at the moment.

I like when creators talk about the debt crisis that we have in the nation. Like you said it isn’t just drivers, all of my friends are in professional fields and they all just cant stop faking it till they make it in a sense. I have a friend that is a nurse practitioner and income of 140k in texas and cannot afford their lifestyle. Drivers i took the financial peace university course from dave ramsey when i was 20 and that gave me the steps in paying off my debts and building wealth. It help me buy my first home at 21, and be almost 17years debt free. Im glad u spoke on this, because the average household in OUR culture is paying $1100 in car notes, 66% of their income is going on rent/mortgage, and with food prices and gas cost in some places its extremely hard to get by and any issues that occur there goes swiping the credit card and making minimum payments. Lets not even get on student loan debts. We just cant delay gratification. But again im glad you spoke on this.

I just hit $100k in my portfolio, even though it’s with my Roth and brokerage accounts combined. A lot of the investment gurus say you want to hit the $100k milestone as soon as possible, because the compound interest really takes off after that. You’re basically 25% of the way to $1 million. I don’t use a financial advisor, I just invest mostly in the s&p 500, and some in the Schwab 1000 index fund, which is the top 1,000 companies instead of the top 500 (not sure why it’s not called the s&p 1,000).

GREAT CONTENT Anthony 💪🏽..... Your absolutely right, some of my owner operator friends are in that exact situation and I was informing them about how the market was abt to turn for the worse. Unfortunately I was right abt the market turning and I'm literally watching them drown in this market 🤷🏾‍♂️. As of my situation, I have my mortgage, Child support , cellphone. Car paided off with 50k mileage house and car insurance paid for the whole year truck paided off. So fortunate to be wise with my money this time around. Yo Anthony, I’m in school right now getting my CDL and your channel was a big motivation to get me into it so I appreciate you for that. I’ve seen that you said Gordon, PFG, Sysco and Sygma will hire with no experience, and I’m in the Charlotte area. You think I should start sending out applications now? I’ll have my CDL by the end of July and I’m trying to get something lined up straight out of school, so I was just curious if I should wait until I get it, or start applying now. I appreciate the support my guy. I would wait bro. I just wouldn’t risk applying without a cdl and getting called in for an interview knowing that I don’t have the proper credentials at that time. What if they offer you the job on the spot & you don’t have a CDL? They would most likely ask to see your DL anyway but I’m just making a point. They can view you as being dishonest on the application and or a time waster. That could blow any opportunity you may have had with said company. To avoid any of that from happening, I just think it’s best to wait. You can start applying maybe a few days prior to obtaining your CDL but I personally wouldn’t recommend applying sooner than that. If the job is meant for you, it will be there when you’ve completed school. Just my opinion bro. Good luck

Unbelievable. These folks yall so deceived. The average interest rate 20 to 25 years ago was 7 & 8%. That 2 and 3% interest rate mess was just a 3 year flash in the pan.

Nobody cares about 20-25yrs ago. We’re talking about today. Going back that far to make a point is irrelevant. Over the last 14yrs rates have been under 5%. 2-3% isn’t just a flash in the pan. The minimum rate from 2010-2019 was 3.3%.
