As someone who watched this case unfold through german news, just to clarify she was sentenced to 12 years through juvenile court in prison where she needs to undergo psychiatric treatment and if after 12 years she has not proved herself willing to change and is not mentally stable enough to not be a danger to society, she will stay in preventive detention (which is a kind of prison after prison) and that could last forever

Hey my ex is 34 and groomed an 18 year old and took advantage of her grieving her father who died recently. He told me she “begged for it” and stated “an older guy might know what he’s doing better” the fact he blamed her and argued that she’s a legal adult when she attended a middle college that he currently still works at and she just graduated from with her high school diploma and associates in May of this year is beyond disturbing. I am nauseated still and it’s only been a few months since we broke up because I found out but I feel such a strong protective energy over these young girls. I’m 28 and just can’t imagine finding an 18 year old attractive at age 28 at all. These men are sick.

If the 12 years are up and she up to this point, hasn't shown significant change, emphasis on significant, she will not get the chance of a parole hearing and stay in prison or the psych ward, for another extended period of time.

German gun laws are not like American gun laws. You can't just go buy a gun in Germany. She's couldn't have gotten one legally and it's not easy to get one illegal. You have to be age 18 years show trustworthiness and personal adequacy you also need expert knowledge of firearms and prove necessity to even get a gun in Germany. I think its important to understand that most teens don't cause trouble because they like drama or are attracted to conflict, I myself suffered from mental illnesses & my father was abusive, & that mix leads to trama & we often act out because we don't have the tools or the support to help us understand what we're feeling. We should never write off a teen girl that way. I think its very wrong minded to see her as enjoying the trouble, even if she leaned into it. My father called me crazy because he was fundamentally incapable of accepting responsibility for his own behavior, & the more he called me crazy, the more crazy I decided to be. That just leads into thinking that this behaviour gives teenage girls fun and they're just little attention seekers, so people ignores the reason of troubles they create. Presenting these situations in such wrong way causes treating us very unseriously, so everybody just ignores it all instead of thinking "maybe this girl actually needs help".

I was diagnosed with BPD and I used to do a lot of things for attention because I always felt like no one noticed my pain or cared about me. I would spread rumors about myself so people could think about me. It’s sounds so sad. But I would literally never kill anyone I have extreme empathy. I j used to be very impulsive I still am but in a fun safer way. I got addicted to drugs and cutting. As I got older it got better for me. I’m much more mature now. I stopped cutting over 2 years ago and have been sober for also 2 years.I would also have sex ALOT because I loved the feeling it gave me but I realized I hurt alot of men because I had no feelings attached to it. (I don’t have STDs) I get checked every month. Lol. And I’m not into toxic people or relationships anymore. I know what I deserve and I deserve happiness. So whoever reading this I want you to know if u try to becoming more logical and give yourself a chance to be better you WILL get better. I’m extremely happy with my life and I have a lot of friends that I deeply love. Never give up. Even if you feel like your not making progress focus on today. Day by day. Focus on what your doing in the moment and try to challenge yourself with tasks bc it makes me feel so much better❤ I love you your life is worth living. I promise.

hey the emotional disturbance diagnosis basically means that someone has a mental reason for why they can not learn or participate in school like most kids. "An inability to learn that cannot be explained by intellectual, sensory, or health factors" (googles definition) it sounds a lot harsher then it truly is. many kids who are put into special education programs at school are actually diagnosed with that. i know in my state they changed the name of it because emotional disturbance sounds pretty harsh.
