@@Jadenmic sorry to hear you went through that. My niece's mother dogged my brother (niece's dad) and our family her whole growing up life. It was terrible! Her mom wouldn't allow her to call her dad, dad at her house. She could only refer to him by his first name. Ugh! But now she's 22 and guess who she's close to?!? Yup, us! She actually thanked us for not fighting back with her mom, cause in the end it would've just made things worse. Damn immature people!

Yea like when the mom saod she asked her if that meant she wasnt gonna bite her nails anymore.... A kid doesnt think that way unless the mom is telling her "see, you're biting your nails because you're so stresssed out"..... Seems like the mom was planting things in her head.

@@basicbecky6306 True, I realised this more in my teen and adult years because I was asking myself why do I bite my nails they are so ugly!!! And I came to the conclusion when I'm bored or stressed that's why. Maybe she asked her mom because kids bullied her about her nails. Although I was never bullied about it but who knows.

The thing is, today Bethany would be around 30 years old so unless she is dead if she is still having no contact with her mother it's because that is HER choice. That said, a parent who has custody of a child, legal or otherwise, can spend a lot of time poisoning that child's mind against the non-custodial parent so that even when she gets old enough to initiate contact herself she does not do so because she has been so brainwashed about the parent she has not seen for decades. What a shame this is. Bethany could well be dead but if she is alive if she has been told stories of how her mother mistreated her or her mother doesn't want her or some other such story designed to turn her against her mother, I would hope that she would be adult enough to contact her mother and learn for herself the type person she is. And I wish she would realize that just because her dad is her dad does NOT mean he's not also a big fat liar and she does not need to take as gospel every word that came out of his mouth. I have a family member who was the victim of being kidnapped by her noncustodial mother who took her to another state. That happened DECADES ago and back then one state would not enforce another state's custody rulings so her mother was never forced to bring her back to her father who actually won custody. She was raised on a pack of lies about her father and based on those lies she has no contact with her father because she still, to this day, believes all the lies her mother told her. She refused to believe that her sainted mother is a bald faced liar and also her dear old mom was in reality an adulterer to the point that the paternity of her sister is in question. It's a shame how parents mistreat a child in order to stick it to an ex spouse whom they now despise.

Call me crazy, but after watching a million of these videos about killer parents, the dad does not come off as someone hiding something...not even a little bit. The mom, on the other hand, does not come off as a grieving mother, either. It wouldn't make sense for the girl to still be hiding at age 31, but I can see her mom sneaking her off somewhere until she turned 18 and could say "no" to seeing her dad again.

So yes, I will call you Crazy! And just because you have watched "a million of these videos about killer parents", doesn't make you an expert! Look at Jeffery Dahmer. Did you notice his quick look left before he said he said he had no involvement in her disappearence. His voice is convincing but his body language through the interview suggests that he's lying. However, those aren't always good indicators because sometimes people have mannerisms that can make them seem like they're lying. He was definitely uneasy the whole time and not in the way that you would expect. You would expect him to be uneasy with grief but he was really more uneasy with the allegations and police labeling him a suspect. He also talked about the hypothetical situation of him taking his daughter to Mexico in his truck. If he did take his daughter to Mexico in the truck, the truck would be much easier to find. it would have a DOT number associated with his name and information. Anyone who was in his situation smart enough to think about order of events would realize that that is where the police would look first. So, I feel like he was trying to manipulate thoughts about the case with that story but it could very well be that he was saying like why would I take a van down to Mexico I had other options if I were doing it. Still weird though. The mom seems off to me too though... Very little body language almost like she had a pre-rehersed story that she was telling. She also had no apparent anger towards the father and not a lot of emotion about losing her daughter. However, that could have been a result of telling the story for 20 years. I think the mom is more credible for two reasons, she actually has a witness in the family who could verify that the dad was manipulative to the young girl and the Dad tried to abduct her from her school a month earlier. I wish that the detective had talked about the abduction from the school because if they were able to verify that the statements from the teachers were true then it points more to the father. In a lot of these crime cases there is a very clear suspect, but in this case, it could have been the mom, it could have been the dad, and it could have been a kidnapping. Hopefully some more evidence comes forward and they're able to find out what happened.

I have a theory, and I'm wondering who else feels this way. Jonnie was being abused by Larry and was fearful of him. Bethany was scared of him too and Jonnie was at the point where she was regretful of becoming involved with him and in fight-or-flight mode. One day she coordinates with her mother to intercept Bethany from the mall and take her into hiding where Jonnie can still contact her and see her. Bethany would recognize Jonnie's mother, her grandmother, and go willingly, or even have knowledge of this plan, herself. Then Jonnie made up the "distant relative in-law" thing so that the woman in the sketch could never be tracked down. The sketch is such a viable lead but I truly believe it to be Jonnie's mom, after hearing everything said in this video. Nothing about this reads as a covered-up murder/true crime case. At all. His behavior is pretty normal, nothing more than a man living with some regrets. There seemed to be no forensic evidence pointing at his involvement, either. I could see Bethany having changed her name and being somewhere alive and well.

Tracy Anne that’s what I was thinking too. I did not go to the police out of fear for myself and my child as well as fear of trying to financially support a child. The only reason it ended up being known by the police and courts is because of how brutal it became in the end. Women in these situations do not usually call the police or file charges in court until the choice is taken from the women with pure brutality and we end up in the hospital a few times.

Could it be, the girl tried to run away, when she got out of the car at the mall? She never entered the mall, that is sure. Maybe she tried to hitchhike back home and someone took her then.

@@haroldfrets1268 yes but assuming it could be the mom's mother or aunt. Older sister? U never know if it the mom got her mom to take the child to get away from the dad 🤷♀️ what u said was very rude and not very thoughtful, urself.

i’ll never understand.. the moment a man puts his hands on you. you should packing your shit and leaving. one hit leads to a million more. doesn’t matter if they “love” you, apologize, etc. if you respect yourself you’ll leave immediately.
@captainchaos80134 жыл бұрын
It’s not about respecting yourself, it’s easier said than done. Some people get mentally & emotionally abused as well as physical and therefore find it impossible to up & leave just like that. Totally agree that once should be enough but sometimes it’s not always enough to leave to a victim. People shouldn’t really comment on this stuff unless they’ve been there & done it themselves. Like I said it’s easier said than done.

My dad was abusing my mom but she stayed with him until I got to age where I could comprehend what he was doing and communicate with her if he ever hurt me bc she was scared of something happening. I don’t blame her I think it was smart on her end especially since he was going to get shared custody.

Hi everyone. So, I have a date later and the guy is like... Do you have a dress and heels. According to my PhD from watching Crime Watch Daily... that’s a sign of a sociopath and a killer. It’s safe to say that I am not going. I’ll not be a victim and FL is too dangerous smh... Naaah. I am not going to light up the room. Absolutely not. P.S. I’m addicted to this channel. My daily dose.

The sketch looks just like her mother! and the story where the dad dropped her off at the mall and took a nap is a damn lie! Unless the mother knew about it and she took her from the mall to get her away from the dad so she can have full custody. This is crazy both of them should of been in jail until this was solved... mom or dad did it! mom might have her hidden

Alyssa Errthang'Regula Mom is definitely the culprit.
@darladawn11114 жыл бұрын
So did she call her mom before they left the house, knowing her dad would take a nap in the van if she could convince him to take her to the mall? Seems like a reach, but not impossible. The sketch definitely looks like the mom. Surprised the dad didn't pick up on it. Instead, he said it looks like Johnny's wife.

@@darladawn1111 He said it looked like Jonnie’s mother. The grandmother. Jonnie’s hair was not short back in the day. I doubt it was her mother. Just probably him trying to blame his ex. I think the girl was kidnapped before she ever reached the mall entrance. I think she is deceased or in another country. I think since she would be 31 years old now, she would’ve been detected by law enforcement through DNA or fingerprints if still in the U.S. I’m sure they’ve secretly surveilled the parents over the years to see if there was any sign of her. Law enforcement doesn’t always reveal everything in a case.

This case is really off. Mom seems a bit (IDK) untruthful? deceitful? just off somehow. IDK if she's lying/exaggerating about her ex &/or about Bethany. The Dad shouldn't have let her go into the mall by herself (I'm sure he regrets that now). IF mystery woman is Larry's Family member then I would think the police would have found her by now. Wellll maybe not since they haven't even spoken to Larry - which leads to - WHY in the hell haven't the police talked to Larry?!?!? He seemed very straight forward answering all the questions. He came off more sincere than Johnnie did!
