I find that many conservative (or at least today's conservatives) tend not to understand freedom of speech. They make the mistake of thinking it's absolute. They also seem to forget that other people have that same freedom. For instance, when social media companies delete their posts or ban them, they think their first amendment rights are being violated, completely oblivious to the fact that as private companies, those companies are merely exercising their own first amendment right not to have their brand tarnished by hate speech and baseless conspiracy theories. It's really not a very complicated concept, but they find it challenging nonetheless.
