Basically, it would be something like a 25% tax on plastic medical syringes imported from China, paid to the US government by the US company distributing them. The trickle-down to that is either the US company reporting lower profits (unlikely) or the US consumers buying from that company pay more to cover the tariff's cost (extremely likely). Supply and Demand have NOTHING to do with tariffs. The only way in which this affects US manufacturing is if the US companies decide that they can no longer justify the cost of the tariffs and manufacturing moves back to the US, but that would take decades, which more than likely means they'll just charge US citizens more for the products and hope the tariffs go away after Trump leaves office.

you fail to understand, we are taxed on goods imported to china, they are not taxed on goods imported here. All we want is free trade. Equal tariffs. Whats hard to understand about that?

Thats a great idea Chris. That was the problem, we removed taxes on our end and they didnt. President Trump offered China to remove taxes on their end and we would do the same and they wouldnt, so we are taxing them the same as they are taxing us now. Thats called fair trade. Its called putting America first. I dont understand why you don't stand up for America. We dont need their cheap shit anyway, we can make our own quality stuff like we used to do. Jobs are already coming back because of this one thing. The numbers are better now than ever before. China can do what they want, but if they tax us, we tax them. Whats wrong with that?

The problem is that the Republicans still control the Senate, so they would need to have enough GOP senators on-board to ensure a successful impeachment, and we've all seen how willing the rest of the party is to just roll over for Trump. The other thing is that the Democrats might decide not to go forward with impeachment proceedings, thinking they'll have a better chance at defeating Trump in 2020 than they would against Pence or some unknown Republican candidate.
