I studied stage management in college. The reason there are infrared cameras on the aisles in the house (audience) is so that the people running the show backstage can see whether the aisles are clear for actors to enter. Some shows, especially musicals, have actors coming through the audience to get on stage, so the stage manager needs to see that it’s safe for them. Theatre nerd alert over lol.

@peterford9369 Жыл бұрын
@@scoobydoo3928 Actually, it's not that people don't have memories. They remember. They don't care. Have you watched people being interviewed at trump rallies? Directly being asked about say, trumps misdeeds. They don't care. His point that, he could shoot someone on 5th avenue. It's true. They'd say he probably deserved it somehow. Face it. The wealthy Republicans love him because truthfully, he's one of them. So of course he's all for more loopholes in taxes and keeping what u took. The middle class. Say 150,000 a year and up, probably did receive benefits. From investments etc. So they're happy with him. Now the average Americans. Making 65 thou a year or less. That's a quandary. They get noticed. In rallies and some speeches. And that's about it. Thats a conundrum. Not much in financial gain. But a definite shout out. Him acknowledging them as part of his world. That's the cult factor. 🤔 But those are the Republicans. Now when it comes to Dems feeling troubled. Prices are high. Food, gas. Essentials. Rent. Things everyone MUST have. But what do we hear from the administration. Drug prices down. Some health stuff down. Most Americans don't have drug needs. Health aid, isn't a daily requirement. But that's what they boast is down. While the prices of daily requirements are just as high as before. And that's what Dems question. In my opinion.

One major reason that the auto industry does not want to go electric is that EVs need much less maintenance. While some need 'transmission' oil changes occasionally, it's nothing like the many filter and oil changes needed by an internal combustion engine. Fewer parts to break, etc. I took my EV in for it's first work in 3 years these past few months for 1) recall items (software update) and 2) new tires. For many cars of all types, software updates can be done via internet/wifi. No need to go to the shop. It particularly hits the dealers hard because for many dealerships nearly all the profit of the company is in their repair shops.

Compared to my state rep and state senator, Slotkin is very disappointing on the UAW strike, hedging on an 80-20 issue in Michigan, repeatedly telling local news that workers should not "let the perfect be the enemy of the good." She has no sense of where Michigan voters are at. (Just like she thought her constituents were pro-life even though Proposal 3 ran way ahead of her, and also like her weird crusade against cannabis, which also ran ahead of her in her district, including her work to keep Michiganders out of federal jobs for legal cannabis use.) Her voting record is a clear warning that she would be a potential Sinemanchin (Chuck Schumer cleared the field Sinema too). Jocelyn Benson, there's time to get in the race! But as the field stands, I'd vote for Pamela Pugh, Leslie Love, or Hill Harper. There have only been 11 Black US Senators in all our history, two of whom were Reconstruction-era politicians, and a few of whom just served tiny parts of a term (e.g., Roland Burris for Obama's vacancy, Mo Cowan for Kerry's, etc.). Only two Black Democrats have served a full term in the US Senate: Cory Booker and Carol Moseley Braun.
@dfuher968 Жыл бұрын
Harris left of her own choice tho, as did Obama. Thats the only reason, they didnt serve full terms. But I support u voting for whichever candidate, u prefer, in the primary, its ur state, ur Senator, ur right. I just hope, that even if u dont get ur prefered candidate in the general election, that u still go vote for whichever Dem made it through the primary, coz we all know, how disastrous any GOP candidate is going to be to get through their primary.
@AnthonyJMurph Жыл бұрын
This is a bunch of gibberish. We need more senators that aren't some left wing or right wing nutjob. Sienma aside, you sadly need Manchin on your side. Would you rather have a Frozen Majority Leader McConnell? Don't do a purity test. Also, as an Illinoian, shut the hell up about Black Senators. Three of them came from my state and two of them sucked. Carol Moseley Braun was an ineffective idiot who got kicked out by a moderate Republican. Roland Burris has ALOT of baggage when it comes with corruption. Obama got a better job. Pick who would be a good representative, not by skin color. Slotkin is a former CIA employee. She is an expert on national security.

On the electric vehicles issue….what is the price of a replacement battery? One of the gops talking points. How do I fact check the price?
@pakde8002 Жыл бұрын
The environmental cost front and back end should be figured in with the actual price.
@cbpd89 Жыл бұрын
That number varied A LOT from car to car. It cost $1000 to replace my Prius battery, including labor, but ten years ago it would have been four times that at least. EV batteries are definitely more than that to replace, but as people drive their vehicles long enough to actually need a replacement, an industry of battery refurbishment will emerge. The cost will go down and it will be easier to find mechanics who do that.
@autumnmoon7529 Жыл бұрын
@@cbpd89 I saw a post that someone reposted that it cost 29,000.00 to replace. Their argument against electric vehicles. I myself have no clue to the actual cost. That seems high!
