He's not a diplomat. I've had Trump supporters saying you don't go to a diplomatic meeting, being confrontational. True. We wouldn't want to start a war after all. If I was Trump, I would've avoided a press conference like a plague, knowing how they usually end up. Trump is NOT quick thinking, enough to deflect or to be circumspect. His ego wouldn't allow for it.

@sirmoonslosthismind6 жыл бұрын
+Kylie J most democrats base our beliefs on _evidence_ and not just blind faith. thus, many democrats are now taking the russian threat much more seriously than they might have before. that's what sane and rational people do; they change their minds when it's warranted. colbert is perhaps most famous for mocking purely faith-based decision-making at the white house correspondents dinner. george w. bush, according to colbert, "believes the same thing wednesday that he believed on monday, _no matter what happened tuesday_ ". if you never understand anything else from colbert's schtick, make the effort to assimilate this single point, because it's by far the most important.

Well, no, but perjury is a serious matter, and it must be so because it's one of the main forces acting to keep people honest in a court room. (Personally I think it still counts as "sexual relations" and he was just trying to lie and get away with it...)
