TRX Handstand is a phenomenal way to practice getting upside down. It is so accessible, be prepared to amaze yourself!
This video explains how to get in and out of the pose safely and effectively with proper alignment.
Important notes:
Remember to keep your hands flat on the floor.
Pointer fingers face 12 on a clock.
Hands a little wider than your shoulders to optimal stability.
Notice the use of a mat to assist with kinesthetic awareness and balance.
To set up your mat:
Place the bottom of the mat plumb line under the anchor point and centered to the right and left.
This way you can use the mat as a measure for the width of your hands ( I like my pinky fingers off the edge of my mat) and also to gauge how far backwards to walk your hands.
Happy inverting :)
