1) Focus on senses * 2) Take deep breathes * 3) " The Past is over, it has no control over " tell these affirmations 4) Think of dropping your thoughts like fruits from a tree 5) Believe that a power bigger than u exist 6) Try to make present beautiful, so mind wont think of past - S Maheshwari 7) Assume you are creating a bundle of all your past memories whether good or bad and throw them in yagna saying "yadhasht samarpayami" then try to see the world. Do this daily - S Maheshwari 8) Read Bhagavath gita, Upanishads, Vedas - S Maheshwari 9) breath meditation (long hours will slow down your mind chattering 10) walking meditation 11)be involved in whatever you are doing, don't multitask 12)by recitation mantra like om 13) waiting for the next thought, watch your thoughts be conscious about your thoughts - by saying Kya thought aaye bhai...kya...aake dikha...challenging mind * 14) practice of silence

Mai nahi past ke bare me sochti hu na hi future ke bare me mai hamsa apne mind me koi story banati rahati hu or usko extend karti rahati, ya new story banati hu hu even if I am in many people or any function i use to create story around my scenario it is like inbuilt in me even a few sec if I am free my mind start making stories dont know who to stop it but I will try these technique

Maam how to make the mind to focus on present? No matter what I am doing there is always a thought of next task which I have to do . "The senses can experience what is present right now"...is not true according to me. My mother is no more since 1995 but still i can smell some of her cookings, i can hear my granny's voice though she is no more since 1999....how....???

Your in different path she is taking about a trick to how can we focus on present moment with the help of our 5 senses eye ,nose, touch, ear and teste through to avoid past and future But your asking i can smell my mother's cooking it's may have Loved and affection of her that you have left after so long because she is your mother it's may be your imagination only due to Maya So, she is right you are also but it's illusion only Because, you know your mother is no more long years ago but your smell her cooking till , it means your in past when you smell you must thought about her past memories with you I am saying because it's impossible that we are thinking someone's who was close to us but we are in present not there in the past
