Meditation is not about emptying your mind and stop thoughts. But about being aware of your thoughts. Once you identify it, it will be silent. Pay attention to it arising and fading away.

Actually I think 1 year ago I saw a meditation video that he says the same that when u meditate plz don't stop the thoughts ... He didn't say any reason why !? .... I thought he is wrong..... Mind is like a baby we need to take care of it for that we need to keep an eye on it , as similar the meditation is about identifying the thought and making yourself aware of that thought and when you know the happening of that thought it would start fading away because you are in a conscious state where you need to purify your thoughts not justify them ,

Try to know the nature of your thoughts instead of suppressing them , identify them when they are coming and leaving,be aware of them ,let them come and go ,next time your mind is clouded with thought ,see those thoughts as an object at distance .Be aware , identify the thoughts and your mind will get quieter
