Not to knock this ampsim or any other video of ampsims but has anyone ever felt option paralysis with all the ampsims coming out...Like you ever just feel like while you're still processing one product something else pops up on the radar...Should ampsim companies perhaps go the amphub or tonehub route of building a more complete application and instead just go the frequently adding a new amp to their catalogue... Cause Ive seen when it comes to releasing a single ampsim...It usually has hype for a while and then it just fades into obscurity as new ones keep popping up...Why not work on a package and refine the tone/realism of the ampsim do something similar to how Amped roots got a V2...Again not a negative thing, just questioning the delivery of ampsims...Seems like most try to sell from advertising and hype🤔

Yeah I feel the same way. It also makes people including myself at one point think that because your guitar tone isnt sounding the way that you want you just need a different plugin, ie the newest one when in reality you just have to mess with what you have and get it sounding good. Most of these plugins these days sound great if you do a little fine tuning with them. The right IR also makes a huge difference.

@@Metaldad87 I agree with this...And some people would buy a new ampsim just to get terrible tone but it's not due to the ampsim,instead it comes back to people not investing the time to learn how to dial in their sound or how to get the most out of their IRs or at least understand how IRs work.

Absolutely how I feel. I straight up bought 3 archetypes and found myself only using the Plini so I removed the others from my computer. Feels like they can all get the same tones if you tweak them enough.

I think it’s nice that artists can get ampsims custom tailored to their own needs, but it does end up causing a lot of overlap when released commercially. It’s gotten really oversaturated for no reason when everyone mainly goes for variations on a common core metal tone. I think Amphub and Bias have the right direction of providing a variety of amps and boosts in one package rather than making a plug-in too narrow in scope. Never could vibe with the Bias tones all that much, but I need to try Amphub.

its a full of capabilities in mic'ing techniques, but it makes some people feel that "Option Paralysis" in any digital amp plugin out there to choose.Sooo, anybody remember ToneForge Jason Richardson?

Doesn't sound very good, IMO. Has a fuzzy/bassy/dark quality to it that just sounds kinda shitty for my tastes. I've never really been very into Jason's tones though. I'm way more into the Josh Middleton plugin. Mixwave does make some really good stuff though. Their Milkman Creamer is probably the best sounding clean amp sim on the market right now.

Yup. Same tones (minus the reverb) from free plug ins and IR's. Bad? no. Would I buy it? Also no.

Man i kinda feel bad for Fluff here!! Trust me the tones were not that great!! its good..but not that great!!! Just because he is friends with Jason and Luke ( who also part owns mixwave) i can see why he just cannot talk bad about the plugin and just be positive about it!! Ive tried the plugin and its just good!! nothing special to something that already exists!!

I thought the tones were quite good. Also, you act like I am forced to sit here and make videos, quite the opposite. If I dont think something is rad I simply dont make the video. Seriously. I thought the plugin was actually awesome. Sorry if your experience was different but I hope you have a great day.
