i do the same exact thing every morning too! I wake up and talk to the cat for 30 minutes, spend 5 minutes looking at the ceiling and thinking about how bad the weather is and how badly i want to skate, then i spent 22 minutes on the toilet regretting the 7 eggs i had for dinner. Then after that i do a 13 minute workout consisting of deep sobbing and 2 sit ups. Following that i spend 38 minutes petting my cat while singing her songs about how pretty and sweet she is. Then i go to sleep until 6 am and do it all over again.

It must be amazing to jump back on the board like that. I can't imagine. I have to relearn every trick every session. I don't look for happiness; I seek peace and harmony. Happiness is too hard to define, but being at peace is clearly felt. Finding harmony between work and life makes work and life feel synced. Balance is a losing battle; harmony brings everything in line. It did take me 48 years to get to this point. Stay Rad John. Appreciate your thoughts and work ethic, always.

I’m sure you realize this, but it’s something a lot of us struggle with, which is taking our lives for granted, you can be happy in knowing that you can make videos and people are gonna watch you no matter if the video is about skating or not, I used to only watch videos that had skating, but I like these life style videos, anyway just know happiness comes from within, we can be happy in any set of circumstances

My local shop shut down after like 15 years and I was getting my shop decks from them at a discount. Lets not call it a sponsor because I am a grown man but when they closed I had to buy a new board shape from another shop for the first time and they were flatter than toy machines and believe it or not the plies came apart so I was like ok gimme another one maybe itll work better and the newer one first day pressure cracked. through the top of the griptape. I havnt skated in a year and thats sad.

Well we definitely grew up in different times. My dad got up 5 days a week and worked a boring 9-5 while our mother stayed home and took care of us kids until we started school. On the weekends my dad had a family and a house to deal with. He was lucky if he even found time to go do something on his own to enjoy. The family came first, not his sports and leisure. So yeah times have changed and the internet has a lot to do with that. Must be nice to have that much time to yourself as a father.

Yeah it's incredible. I'm sure kids in the future will think we had it hard somehow. My mom grew up in a war torn country and had to deal with unspeakable terrors, so I'm very grateful for my life. You and I are very fortunate.

yep and the internet has opened many doors for people to work flexible schedules and follow their dreams. I had a 9-5 for many many years. Now I’m a photographer wanting to start my own YT Channel soon. Not necessarily on photography, but it might be a good start. Take care.
