i feel so stupid looking back on this 😭 i would definitely replace daiya with ookiku furikabutte, i just don’t own any of the volumes so it slipped my mind but i’ll just give a little summary here: it’s another baseball manga (better than daiya imo) about a boy named mihashi who starts hs after being bullied on his middle school baseball team. due to this he develops anxiety around the game and in life in general and the story is about him finding true friends, gaining confidence, and learning to love baseball again. it’s so sweet i love it, i would classify it as more of a slice of life then hardcore sports manga like daiya but other than that i hope you liked this video!

Oofuri is great, criminally underrated. But Daiya No A in Act 2 is just stellar, even better than the first arc. The payoff have been so great and exploring the side characters (Kawakami and giving Shirasu his due, my favorite character in DnA in the current arc) just shows how great TJ sensei has made this story into. The other aspects like teammates who realize that they won't break into the main team even after working as hard as their peers and how they can find other avenues (scouting for example) was an aspect I never expected. For me, DnA is the best sports manga tied with Kokou No Hito and Capeta (personal reasons). Oofuri definitely is the best SoL+Sports manga which deserves way more love and recognition.

@@VarunSingh-zk5bp ahhh so glad someone else knows of oofuri, i agree that it is very underrated, i like it better due to the slice of life nature and i think mihashi is very relatable, regarding act 2 of daiya i agree about the bench players growing being a very fresh take in the genre but what has me frustrated (at least where i am rn) is the treatment of sawamura, i feel like he can't catch a break, like he finally becomes the ace but it's while furuya is injured, idk i'm waiting for him to have a breakthrough moment and for the dumbass coaches to recognize him properly, that's what i meant when i said i was frustrated with them dragging things out a bit

@@tsukkinotes The payoff is going to be good for you. The current arc just finished the semi finals and I must say that one of the two MVPs this time around is Eijun. The second being a complete surprise. Although, as usual Miyuki does steal some thunder, but ask any other rabid DnA fan out there and they will say that the guy I am talking about (I was so happy that he finally got some love) was the game changer. This is something I don't think any other sports manga has ever done imo. Act 2 has been on scorching form to say the least! The whole manga can get frustrating but that's what is the most charming thing about DnA as it mirrors actual life where setbacks outweigh accomplishments, but that's my subjective opinion.

So temped to get Arslan and I wish Ace of Diamond would get an English release I just read scans since I can't read Japanese. We all knew Yowamushi Pedal would be your number one 😂 great video ready to get volume 18 Monday the series just keeps getting better and better. Edit: RighStuf is doing a reprint of Aria the Masterpiece edition if you're interested in a good SoL manga! It's the last time it will ever be printed if they meet the goal of 900 preorders (50% of the way there).

ya i read scans too for daiya ... sorry kodansha, i know it would push them to print physicals if people bought the digital copies but if they won't even print tokyo revengers ... and thanks for the info! i'll check it out

@@tsukkinotes Yep Kodansha really doesn't want to print those two and I'm sad about it. I think Tokyo Revengers will come some day though. Aria is really good one of the best SoL manga I have ever read. I'm really hoping people buy this bundle! The offer ends October 13th. If they don't reach 900 pre-orders then it won't get a reprint.

I love Yowamushi Pedal. I found it on my library's manga shelf and said "sure I'll give it a try" and fell in love. Such good vibes, so funny and charming, and it is actually genuinely motivating to make me want to exercise! Lol did not realize how it would set me up for failure though cause it will be so hard to collect the early volumes of this manga that are out of stock everywhere ..... Luckily my library has every volume to read! (All but volume 10 which I found for $30 on an obscure website) but highly recommend to at least read Yowamushi Pedal if you can't collect it physically

My top on-going manga, in no particular order: * Wotakoi * Spy X Family * The Witch and The Beast - highly recommended from me. Gorgeous art, big action and involves the occult and supernatural. * Witch Hat Atelier - the art in this can't be praised enough. I also appreciate that it has a "hard magic system". That is magic but still bound by its universe's laws. Which is rare in manga. * A Bride's Story - despite what my grades in school will tell you, I'm actually big on history. I read history, I watch a lot historical documentaries. And a Bride's Story goes deep into the cultures and the people of the 19th Silk Road. It is in essence a slice of life. * Sweat & Soap - same as Wotakoi, funny, mature and healthy romantic relationship. * Blue Period - as I mentioned before, this resonated with me because I too pursued an Art degree instead of a "sensible, responsible" major in college. * Jujutsu Kaisen - I'm basic. 😂🤣 But really, one of the best recent Shonen manga I've read. It's Shonen genre that has grown up. The friendship is believable and non-toxic. The women kick butt. And all the references to pop culture. * A Man & His Cat - this surprised me. A story about a man and his cat turned out to be more than just about the man and his cat. * Fire Force - Despite how much the fanservice pisses me off sometimes, as a whole I still very much enjoy Fire Force.

hmm i have no idea tbh, seems like sj is allowing their artists more freedom to end series when they want recently which is good so depending on how long the main mission takes to resolve i think that would be a good stopping point unless they continue from there

Diamond no ace is probably my favorite sports anime!!! I get really excited when I hear people talk about it cuz literally none of my friends even know what it is😩😩 but it’s just so good!!! And baseball is a sport that I hate, but I absolutely love this! And I feel the same, Miyuki is also one of my favorite characters ever 😍 I need kodansha to stop playing and print it!
