Your tips and videos has changed everything I ever new about archery for the best. I can not begin how I can thank you enough. Shooting wrong for many many years caused target panic. I began to slowly over come that, but at same time thought it was reappearing on me. With your teaching of your channel realized target panic was a thing in the past and it was all form. 2 years of shooting almost daily year around even in the snow I finally built confidence and am now able to enjoy doing what I love the most with out the frustration. Thank you more then ever

Great vid! Wish these were around when I first started shooting. I'd like to see an explanation of back tension from a top-->down view.

Thank you thank you. So, I’ve been raised to keep a weapon pointed down. This crept into my draw. I was having problems keeping it up. My wife unfortunately had hers up too much. That’s another story. I digress. I followed your tips and on the first draw my peep was way too low. Like nowhere near my eye. I immediately realized my drawlength is ok. Could tweak a little. My draw was bad being pointed down. And my peep was way too low. I was adjusting my form to my bow. Throwing off my entire form. Not the other way. Yikes. I’ve set up other newbs with great success. I preach form and fit. I just never looked in the mirror I guess. Anyhow, I’m on my way to recovery. Step 5 I think. This issue has plagued me over my last 2-3 setups. I got rid of my guardian because I thought it was the bow. Ugghhh. Anyhow. Thanks man. Your a life saver. I’m a fan.

I tired raising my bow up like you said, but my pin is way above where I want to hit. When I release the arrow it goes way high. It goes where the pin is pointing. So I tried lowering to bow back to where it hits target, but now my bow is lower again and back where it was. So I ask myself how can I raise my bow and hit lower. The only way I could figure is to lower my sight and my peep. Tried that its no good. So I'm at a loss as how to hold the bow higher and hit lower? I'm gonna try to just grip the shelf of the bow that way my arm is higher like you say but my pin will be on target...we will see how that works...

Use your hips to lean forwards or backwards to adjust for the height of the target.

Great video. But is there a reason you don't use pin nocks?

Thanks! I use them on my X10's. On the Carbon Ones they're more trouble than the arrow shaft's price is worth. They bend pretty easily.

Thank you for this video. I'm fairly new to target shooting and this is the first instruction I've heard about low hold and the weights for the stabilizer. I have struggled with holding low and I'll be using your advice today on the range. May I ask how much weight you're using on your stabilizer?

Currently I'm running a little different set up on my Prevail than on the Podium. On the Podium I had a 30 inch front bar with a 10 degree down angle and 6 ounces. The back bar was mounted low and was a 12 inch rod with 12 ounces. The Prevail I have a 30 inch front bar with a straight mount and 5 ounces right now. The back bar is mounted higher up and is 10 inches with 11 ounces on it. Still trying things out with the Prevail. I have a full length stabilizer set up routine in an instructional video. I go over matching lengths for your front and rear bars and talk about how to change them based on the bow's natural balance point. rcrchery.wordpress.com/video-series/

I think you should make a video of both a 'bad' and good form, shot execution etc and show us how your accuracy changes

I'll put some thought into it and see what I can come up with for those topics!

I'd like to see something similar but dealing with stabilizers. I'm a east coast hunter and I go straight for quiet over actually stability. Curious to know how much accuracy I'm giving up.
