Tuning Supercar Driver’s GR Yaris | Tweek'd | Demon Tweeks

In this video we take ‪@scd‬'s GR Yaris to the next level! We take this WRC inspired hot hatch for a spin down to Profile Tuning to look at its stock figures...does it really make what Toyota claim? In true Demon Tweeks fashion, we add some serious power with an Airtec intercooler, Forge carbon inlet duct and a Scorpion GPF back exhaust system. With that extra power comes brake upgrades too. We fit EBC Blue Stuff pads, braided brake lines and their new 2-piece floating front discs. While we’re at it, the guys at SCD picked some lightweight Bola FLC wheels.

Yeah so you got 30hp from changing the way you strapped the car on the dyno, 4hp from the exhaust and 1hp from the intake

Yes, this car was fairly down on the quoted Toyota figures. The car is higher mileage than usual for a GR Yaris and has been driven pretty hard. Still, you wouldn’t expect it to be down that much! Hence the mods to get it back up to power

These cars are very sensitive on dyno’s. If the car is not strapped down properly by someone who knows these cars, you will get low power results. It’s to do with how the 4WD system distributes the power. These cars produce normally over the quoted 260hp

They are known to be troublesome to dyno accurately,chances of it losing power after 13k are slim,the engine is very strong.

Toyota’s hp numbers are not at the wheels. You have losses through the drivetrain especially with a awd car.

If you want to see a transformed GR yaris check out the Motive Video channel where they have "tuned" it as a 500+HP circuit racer that also pulls 10's in the 1/4 mile!
