SI0AX What does that have to do with anything? It's displacement hardly puffs on the T28 to create any quick spooling boost. Granted, that's probably why his stock motor is still alive.

This may not be in everyone's mind with regards to the car, but I like the black tint that the car has. It looks great on the in-car view. It helps the camera with the exposure, making David visible while retaining all the glorious view of the mountains/hills. If you can't see the effect, compare the view you get in the driver side window to the windshield. The windshield view you get is almost all white because of overexposure because of the lack of tint.

I had a 6063 on my JDM D15B VTEC in my EK coupe and it was alot of fun. I went through a few different turbos before I found what suited my driving style the best. I started with a T25 because it was free, then I went to an Evo III B16G, and finally went with the 6063 with all the supporting mods and a stock internals engine. The only thing that really held me back was the stock replacement Exedy clutch. Even on 6 lbs it would slip. Now the car has a fully built B18 in it with the same turbo on 15 lbs and makes 408 whp and 326 lb ft. My BC cams make the turbo spool quickly and pulls all the way to 9000 RPM and feels like it wants to keep going. I love my Honda.

i built a d series turbo 93 hatch back in 2001. i can explain why a d series. well atleast back then. they were super cheap. everyone had dohc envy and d series could be had for a few hundred. b series were around 5k. the piston rods on them are so tiny. after i blew the third motor i had a d series built. to this day its still the most fun car ive owned. had 350whp on the last motor and completely reliable.

If he's gonna do a balt he needs to do the LNF turbo version. The LSJ's are slow and sound like me on the toilet after taco Tuesday.

yup needs to do a bolt on hptuned balt... not many cars will make the power levels they do on stock turbos

If someone offered him one to drive he would've done it already. It's not so much about David's personal choice as it is about getting offered the cars. If there wasn't so much distance between David and I I'd gladly let him drive my SS/TC.

I did the same but with del sol. It made 188hp & 180torque with a completely stock engine only clutch (stage1) and it was great. Now the car is on 10 psi making a little bit more power , fist thing that when out was the clutch + we add it 550 cc injectors just to be save. Car is super fun to drive it make 8 psi at 2200 and spin the tires 1-2. Now advise don't put a ..50 trim on it. It will kill the power. Do the same as this car small turbo .42 trim. Note the del sol is none VTEC jeje

"low budget": wheels $1000, coilovers $1000, turbo kit $1500, seats $500, plus car $2000 = total of $6000+. Super low budget.
@dree41698 жыл бұрын
fran20055 have u looked for supra prices lately? Considering other builds this one is low budget
@SI0AX8 жыл бұрын
For other builds, a factory turbo car with a big turbo upgrade requires $5,000+ just for the turbo and supporting mods, not including the price of the car itself which is upwards of $8,000+.

fran20055 you have to remember that when you build a car you owned for awhile you don't just dump the cash all at once. Little by little

Nothing wrong with eBay stuff.. as long as your not running high boost, and you go over everything real good before you "slap" parts on..I got a ser spec v. Running 7 psi on a whole eBay "emusa" kit. Went from 150 whp to 260ish whp for about 1100$.. I'm tuned conservatively and I keep a good eye on my wideband, runs great. Just short of 10k miles on the kit.. 130k on the car.

I had a 93 with the same 1.6 with a t3/t04e turbo. At the end of my mods it put near 200 to the wheels. Peg leg burnouts everywhere. It was great fun though.

I just picked up a 2000 si, stage 2 clutch but stock everything else besides the exhaust. Such a fun little car, and I plan on throwing a similar turbo on sometime soon!
