Youre looking in the wrong places if those are the hondas that youre seeing. Hondas have a HUGE racing community. And i mean real racing, not racing to the corner store.

Skynet Cyborg not unless you use eBay parts.. look at Boosteboiz channel.. Kyle has a 700HP H22 Civic CX hatch and he has only spent about 5-8k overall on the engine to get that high.. it's not hard since they actually can take eBay mods and respond pretty well to them..

This is a good car but unfortunately it is one of the most stolen cars in USA and Canada. There's a reason why you rarely see a Civic Si of this generation or an Integra Type R. The ones stolen most likely were stripped for parts.

Even thought it's a 1.6l, these engines car rev pretty high, even though the stock D16 redline is set at around 7,000 which is pretty low for what Honda engines can normally rev.
@Girz0r
@Girz0r 7 жыл бұрын
SI0AX What does that have to do with anything? It's displacement hardly puffs on the T28 to create any quick spooling boost. Granted, that's probably why his stock motor is still alive.

Girz0r I guess that's why it's not making much power for what that turbo is rated.

This may not be in everyone's mind with regards to the car, but I like the black tint that the car has. It looks great on the in-car view. It helps the camera with the exposure, making David visible while retaining all the glorious view of the mountains/hills. If you can't see the effect, compare the view you get in the driver side window to the windshield. The windshield view you get is almost all white because of overexposure because of the lack of tint.

I had a 6063 on my JDM D15B VTEC in my EK coupe and it was alot of fun. I went through a few different turbos before I found what suited my driving style the best. I started with a T25 because it was free, then I went to an Evo III B16G, and finally went with the 6063 with all the supporting mods and a stock internals engine. The only thing that really held me back was the stock replacement Exedy clutch. Even on 6 lbs it would slip. Now the car has a fully built B18 in it with the same turbo on 15 lbs and makes 408 whp and 326 lb ft. My BC cams make the turbo spool quickly and pulls all the way to 9000 RPM and feels like it wants to keep going. I love my Honda.

I'm in the middle of building a H22a EJ8 coupe! I've built an EG hatch with one, a H2b EG sedan and now this. Such fun, easy chassis to work on and really they're so cheap to have fun in, especially compared to my 350z. I get the stigma surrounding Honda guys but I really wish more people knew how much fun they are when done properly, be it all motor or turbo!

i built a d series turbo 93 hatch back in 2001. i can explain why a d series. well atleast back then. they were super cheap. everyone had dohc envy and d series could be had for a few hundred. b series were around 5k. the piston rods on them are so tiny. after i blew the third motor i had a d series built. to this day its still the most fun car ive owned. had 350whp on the last motor and completely reliable.

For the power it makes I would love to line it up against my old 1992 Acura Integra Gsr. Dohc 1.7L with the same power as this. 170 crank hp from factory with some work done. It was probably 170 to the wheels after the things I did. I think I would win though just because of the short gears in the transmission. Now from a roll I think it would be interesting. I remember racing a crx with the same 1.7L out of my Gsr but it had a Ls transmission and I put bus lengths from a dig and from a roll. Just shows how those short gears helped. The car is gone now. Kind of sad because it handled like a go-kart but happy because I have a 2013 Toyota Corolla with 40,500 miles. Bought it with 33,400 miles and in 14 months put 7k miles on it. Thinking about putting 2 Sundown Audio X-12's and an undecided amp in it. Hell I might just go SA-12's. Those get loud enough but I want the lows the X's produce.

The funny thing is that I had two of them in the same Aztec Blue Pearl (Teal). The one I was talking about I got with the paint looking rough. I had the car repainted. 4 coats of color and 3 coats of clear so the car looked amazing. I spent probably a month doing body work on it before I had it painted by a local guy who was my dad's friend so for $500 I had a really nice paint job and he worked for a big name car dealership in the bodywork section. I stripped the interior out, did some upgrades on the engine and threw in some hasport motor mounts. So that was my car that I had fun with. My second one I found in mint condition. The body, interior and engine bay looked like it came off the showroom floor. The only modifications that one had was a catback exhaust and a custom aluminum spark plug cover that said Stage 6 Motorsports. It sounded deep. Both cars sounded deep actually. I opted for a e.s tuning oval muffler instead of a round fart cannon. No rasp like the B16. The .1 stroke from a B16 made the exhaust note unique. Didn't sound like a B16 or B18. That car was my daily driver. They both had suspension work. The gutted car had braces to make the car more stiff. They both had black Rota Slipstreams. I liked the style of the Spoon Sports wheels but was the type of guy who didn't care about expensive wheels.
