That is a very impressive machine! I love that it is hand operated too, very important for disabled people like me. So many ride on mowers have accelerator pedals and they are impossible to use if you are paraplegic. I liked seeing it pick up the leaves, it was obviously doing a really good job of that.

It says it is about 6399 in the US. Love it. I just sold my John Deere tractor. Virtually brand new but my husband didn't want me cutting the grass anymore :(. I would love this machine. Merry Christmas to you and your family Tim!!!

Pricey I'm sure but nice! We have a regular John Deere Mower and it's held up very well over the years we've had it (I think 16 yrs now). Going electric would be nice but we will run this one until the end and I don't see that being for several years. Merry Christmas and thanks for showing us!

doesn't seem to lack power so that's a plus. runtime will always be an issue with mowers that have internal battery systems but it got a fair bit done. do you know what type of battery it has? I would assume lithium ion but perhaps lithium iron phosphate? price tag and stamped deck would be enough to prevent me buying it lol

Hahaha, I’d take a turn if offered! The mower gets the job done, but I can’t help but think that your SCAG would have done a better job. Taking into consideration that this was a battery mower, I think it did a bit beyond Functional. 👍 Great review, and happy holidays to you and yours! 🎄🌟

Wow, $14k for a 'residential mower'. I spent $750 for a second hand 22hp petrol with 4ft cut, runs all day, it's now on 500 hours.

Id love to know if it runs out of battery will it reserve enough to drive back for charging or does it just stop in its tracks? Also 200 hrs warranty seems pretty low. Especially for acreage. But each to their own i guess.

What ride on mower would you consider for catching the grass (about an acre)? Either zero turn or lawn tractor style.

It would depend on how steep the block is (zero turns are a bit nasty on steep terrain) how many things you need to mow around, type of finish you are after, how quickly you want to do it. i.e. a domestic mower and a catcher will do it if you have the time.

John Deere is the bloody worst if there is a DROP of moisture. I have mowed in pooring down rain with my Husqvarna and it NEVER gets a shute block. People tell me to go by a John Deere & I regret it completely as it is CONSTANTLY gets a shute block even if its not wet. The absolute worst

there is only three difference between electric and petrol and diesel with electric you need put undercharge instead diesel and petrol just need 5 gallon gasoline/diesel works for others 5 hour instead with eletric you need wait other 6 hour for only undercharging the battery it's only wasted time
