Made this with pishori rice which I kinda burned and it still turned out really great! I can imagine how much better it would've been less burnt & with basmati rice. Either way, great recipe. Thaaanks

Aaaw thanks Sarah... First I love the fact that you actually used the rice you had on hand and tried the recipe anyways and Still loved it.... Kudos 👏 And sure you can try it with basmati next time no worries😉

Hi Sheena. How do you boil peas and retain the green colour?
@SheenasKitchen6 жыл бұрын
Hey Keeli... I just dont boil for a long time...so I bring a pot of water to boiling point, add fresh shelled peas from the market or supermarket....then boil them for about 5 minutes until just cooked then strain and rinse them in cold water....They always retain their colour...
@keelienterprises12846 жыл бұрын
@@SheenasKitchen Thank you I will try that next time
@SamuelCocan5 жыл бұрын
I add the peas frozen on top of the rice 5 minutes before the rice is cooked.
@BreeBossy4 жыл бұрын
If you want the peas to retain the green colour add salt while boiling them

I've been on a Turmeric Rice kick for the past couple of weeks for some reason and I've found that my blood glucose has been lower than normal. I'm not going to complain about it and I know my doctor won't complain either. My glucose meter normally reads in the high 90's to low 100's but this week I've had readings as low as 81mg/dL(4.5mmol/L). As much as I ate if it was plain white rice I would have been up around 120(6.66) or higher.
