@MatthewAugusta yes!! And you even ate it with your hands!!! Lol love it. I love red onions in my biryani so I'd have used 2-3 red onions but it looks good chef!

Turmeric and what spice? Sorry I couldn't understand.

Garam Masala

FYI that’s too much of turmeric and garam masala. In Indian cooking we only add like 1/4 teaspoon or 1/2 teaspoon depending on the quantity of rice or curry but for the quantity you’re making it’s too much and will taste very bitter. Also there’s no turmeric rice in India, it’s very much an Americanized version of Indian cuisine.

I live in America so my recipes are influenced by my country! Thanks for being here! 🥂

@@MatthewAugusta It’s wonderful that you’re adapting recipes to reflect your surroundings, and there’s nothing wrong with that! However, I feel that when dishes are labeled as ‘Indian,’ it’s important to preserve the authenticity of those traditional flavors. I just hope more people appreciate and learn how to make authentic Indian food rather than altering it so much that the essence of the cuisine gets lost. Thanks for sharing your approach! Peace ✌️
