I just got my shroud too and it is so much of a physical difference and it looks way better (it also changes the caps lock and windows lock indicator to a little circle)

I just shelved out my Techware Phantom TKL after 4 years of good service. Planned to retire it but decided to just give it to my gf. I didn't know these upgrades like switch replacement and shroud but thank God I saw your vids. I love your enthusiasm with tecware products, Phantom keybs really was so so so ahead of its time. Best keyboard I've ever bought.

I reccomended you try adding packing foam do the dampen the reverb of the case. I have lubed outemu red and this in combination it gets rid of pinging

I just watched ur vid on modding it with gateron yellows and I did the same today! I spray lubed them and added the shroud in white and got all white razer pbt keycaps!! I’m super happy and I technically made a custom keyboard!

Word of advice: don't try spray lubing again, you can get lube over the contacts and then you'll have issues registering keypresses

How did you get the LEDs to shine through those Gateron switches? Since the ones you have didn’t seem to have that shaft for the SMD to shine through.

The LEDs are barely visible during the day but at night you can see them.

You could probably swap between the venus and tecware to see what you like more. What I like to do is daily drive a tkl, then use 60% for gaming

I tried foaming it. About half an inch from the bottom cannot be foamed, and an inch at the top too. You can still foam the alphanumeric area though. The result is a fuller sound and less ping, which is nice. I’d recommend doing it

My daughter have the sampe keyboard, it has 1 cons I dont like: No removable USB Type-C. I have a Spectre Pro and Phantom L (Low Profile), they have a removable USB Type-C Port, so i don't have to swap the cable if change to another keyboard. I wish Tecware release a new keyboard TKL like a Phantom Elite (hotswap) with a removable USB Type-C Port, and some new set 2-3 tone color of PBT keycaps.

No difference really but they feel a bit thicker to me and I believe the legend is different.

@@fresharmo hey, just ordered this dolch keycaps and a gateron brown switches and waiting for it to be received. Is it possible if you can make a video focused on how you crimp the pin? I watch your other video where you just crimp the pin using the pliers, not sure if all of the pin should be crimped or just a portion of the pin.
