I think this clip helps explain why GG was such a popular series and remains so even now. It was the first one to show older adults as vibrant, active people with lives outside of their kids and grandkids... and quite possibly the first to explore the concept of romance and sexuality among older adults without mining it for cheap punchlines. This is the kind of life we all want for ourselves when we get older--financially comfortable, relatively good health, second chances at love, and (perhaps most importantly) friends we can count on when the chips are down. We all want to become the Golden Girls.

You can say that again. :)

Yeah I think that’s why I like this show so much even though it came out way before I was born. It gives me something to look forward to, older age doesn’t have to be so boring. Also I love seeing (older) women have lives and being more than just wives and (grand)moms.

The best is when Dorothy went out on a date with Stan’s brother (or so she thought. He wanted her to babysit young stewardess’s kids) Dorothy: “ Ladies and gentlemen, May I have your attention, please? The gentleman at the table five in a blue suit is impotent. Bon appetit!” 😆😂🤣

You guys have gone douchebag this weekend playing Two and a Half Men at the time of night when you usually play King of Queens. I’ll start watching your channel again when you bring back the good stuff. 😉 I know you’re probably just trying to mix it up a little bit. Still annoying. Two and a Half men got stupid after they killed off Charlie Sheen’s character.
