Perhaps a question that is asked often: Do you also use your pit in DCS? And did you find it more or less difficult to adapt all the MFDs and gauges to that sim? Super impressive, been absolutely digging your content 👍
@RainmanHST2 жыл бұрын
Currently no. And since I don’t I’m not sure how difficult it is. In my opinion and to me it would be more difficult because I don’t understand the DCS BIOS at all. In our community we have a guy who came up with a new set of boards to have a complete system under one software (currently I used 9 different programs to run my sim) and at one point he will also make his software compatible with DCS so that you can easily fly BMS and DCS. When this happens I can see myself completely rewiring my cockpit with his hardware to do just that. Thanks for the compliments

@@RainmanHST I can imagine DCS BIOS being difficult to adapt your pit to, especially the steam gauges. Haven’t messed with it much but I didn’t find it intuitive. Wow that board sounds super cool! Would be awesome to see a rewiring vid if you end up going for it! That sounds like a nightmare project 😅

@@Spiniker0056 I will do a video for sure. And thus rewiring would really put my theory to the test as I designed my wiring setup to be modular and/or easy to change. I have all my panels and instruments all running into one “avionics box”. So the theory is I just need to pull that box and and rewire it with the new hard ware and plug it all back in. So when that happens we shall see how that all works out for me. Lol

FYI about the HUD... the official F-16 sims don't even have a HUD module in the dash, because they just project the HUD symbology on top of the image in the OTW. Just the AOA Indexer and the NWS/AR status indicators above the UFC. Best Viper Sim seen to date (home built). No shit... the build quality is a very, very, very close second to the ones the big aerospace defense contractors charge the gov't $1.2M a copy for.
@RainmanHST2 жыл бұрын
Yes I noticed that. I really wanted the HUD and was worried looking through the glass on the screen would cause the HUD frames to be distracting but you don’t really notice it. I would suspect this is the same with the real one.

Amazing!!! Congrats!. May i ask what are the dimensions of the DED? (Height and width). I´m building a instrument board with a monitor on the back, and would like to display DED in aproximate the real size. Thanks!. :)

Where do you find all these real parts? I'd do anything to have have a master caution switch just to be an on off switch for some of my toys.
@TheF16fan3 жыл бұрын
That wouldn't work, thats a momentary switch ;)
