There’s a hidden gem of a company called hyke and byke spelt just how it’s typed with super affordable down and synthetic down sleeping bags with good quality that I highly recommend you check out I spend a fair amount of time camping and am for lack of a better term an “outdoor professional” and their great I know they have tents as well which I cannot speak on as I haven’t bought one but the sleeping bags especially the down are some of the best bang for your buck. One thing to be noted however is to get rated for about 10 degrees colder than you think you’ll need as the ratings provided are the survival rating and not a comfort rating. Love your videos man keep up the great work
@TDubsKid3 жыл бұрын
For sure, I have their 15 degree down bag. Its great for the price. Wonder if they have anything as compact as the sea to summit sleeping bag I got. Didnt know they made tents too. Yeah most higher end bags have a low and comfort ratings. I also go a liner that gives you another 14 degrees

Great video man, always gets me inspired to get out and do something! Hope ya feel better soon. So true about the TW being a minimalist recreation vehicle, I was looking into buying a 4x4 pick up for going camping. Then I realized I could go way more places on a motorcycle and it is cheaper/easier and way more fun. It's not about glamping or showing off, just gettin out there.
@TDubsKid3 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you! Glad to hear the vids are inspiring! All better now, hasn’t really bothered me lately. For sure! Yeah the tw is great value and easy to get through tight spots. Trucks eat so much gas, it just costs a lot more to go camping.

Awesome video. I just picked up a 2nd used treadmill $150, as a 'parts backup' to my `15 year old. MUCH cheaper plan then a full-on-replacement and paying labor to pull/replace. It joins the $600 (used) workhorse LifeFitness X9i elliptical. That way year round even in winter I get the absolute daily minimum excercise. For weights...head to the local cheapo gym. Also have a couple 25Lb ders. Go on...start building your fitness plan today. Your long term health and riding strength depends on it. Great Video! Top Shelf. From CT, U.S.A. (dem duh land)

@@TDubsKid Google is your friend (at least for searching!). Start with those building blocks and **design and build your own gym! I have the treadmill and elliptical crammed in one storage room. You'd be surprised how cheap you can do it and the number of items needed. I just had an acceptance on another used treadmill workhorse! $150, I'll pick it up and pull the core parts off it. After that I should never need to be concerned about spending big on a new treadmill or needing parts to fix! :) Start with the basics, find a really solid treadmill model. 2nd would be for example a LifeFitness elliptical to burn those calories you'll pack on daily. "Starts growing in milimeters a day" at a certain age point. Ellipticals also get the heart rate up. Last would be some strenght tools. Like anything, don't depend on the world for *what you need*. Cheers and ride safe.

Under the 2005 Travel Management Rule, every national forest and grassland is required to publish an MVUM (motor vehicle use map), which is the legal instrument that shows where people are allowed to drive. You can get these paper maps from the Ranger Station or download for free using Avenza. With Avenza (free) on your phone, you can see your exact location and the number of the Forest Road. It's really fun to plan out routes, especially loops. These maps are otherwise sparse, with no elevations or many landmarks. I make it a point to get a paper map(s) (usually huge, and often a few different ones for the different Ranger Districts) from the Ranger Station (often closed these days) and I have been successful in getting them by asking Rangers and workers out in the field. You'll always know where you and you can see in-holdings (private property, usually ranches) where Forest Roads have an easement.

What song is at the beginning of this? Love your passion and joy!
Always love the videos! I've been exploring a lot of the areas from your videos on my TW as well! How do you get over to lake George area without taking highway 24? I haven't found the road that puts me out there... I live in Colorado springs so I usually go up Mt. Herman or Old Stage road to get into the mountains

@@TDubsKid 10 months later and this comment saved my motocamping trip! My buddy and I got stuck on some really rough trails near lake George that his KLR650 couldn't make it though and I didn't want to ride the TW all the way down highway 24. So I found this comment and took that route to get us home! Couldn't thank you enough!

Have you recorded the off-road route from sedalia to salida? That would be cool to ride. I'd love to organize a group ripe for either tdubs or any other bikes to do that on Adventure Riders of Colorado FB page.

yeah I have it on my gps. it's easy to get lost around halfway. that would be cool
