Well her vocals sounded better before she debuted probably because she was singing in a lower register thats actually in her vocal range Twice songs are very high and if you watch other female idols try to sing their songs they have to either sing them in lower tones or struggle to sing it high pitch. And I believe Momo was actually supposed to be part of the rap line any way.

I cringed when i heard those lyrics, That was terrible. I do however understand what he was trying to do or say. But, that was not it. Taking a knee was fine and he could have stopped there. Either way i still thank him for his effort, and support. And just try to get educated on the issues, that surround black, or any other race, before speaking. Their producer must test their vocal range first before dividing the parts and before they record the song so that they can comfortably sing it live.

I’ve seen this Momo thing everywhere, and I gotta throw in my 2 cents. I work with music and sound, and stage sound is surprisingly complicated. You can be blasting to an arena of people and not hear yourself. Add to that the intensity of bass in modern pop music, and you can easily have trouble registering frequencies. I’ve seen people make that face, and I suspect, like David, something happened with her in ear monitors. She went in loud and bold, probably feeling she had the key in her head, then realized something was off and tried to correct it, that section of song has a low but strong bass, and a soft pad, 2 of the easiest instruments to register incorrectly. We’ve all heard her sing, she may not be the greatest, but she can totally sing. That was just a bad moment that happens to every group. (PS in ear monitors are not just to hear your voice, they’re to hear a specific mix of the song to allow you to give your best performance)

Thus singing in ear monitor really needed? Ear monitor is not really popular in early 2000s and a lot of singers sounded fine without it. Problem with new generation boygroup and girlgroup are they are MR and ear monitor dependent. I think groups these days should also know how to sing by just listening on the melodies by speakers. They can became more versatile singers if they learn how to do it. In Twice case, it’s only a encore. It shouldn’t be that bad.

Twice encores have nayeon hard carrying them all. She mostly sings their parts while they busy themselves doing other things. Most of the members just suck at singing live. They avoid live as much as they can. Twice just came back from a 7 month break. Explain why some groups sound great during encores while being tired from radio and variety schedules and early morning schedules etc. Twice avoid singing live because they still lack. Nayeon, jihyo and jeongyeon sounded great tho. Jihyo and nayeon always sounds so good. I hope jyp vocal trainers can help them more after this scandal. They definitely need some help since they are the top girl group. Top groups should be able to sing live.

I think it's good for artists to use their platform to speak out on important issues. However, only after they've educated themselves on the issue and only if they believe in it. Supporting a cause you don't believe in isn't productive. While I don't think 2Z intentionally meant to cause harm, they just added fuel to an already raging fire. I don't know how this incident will effect them in S.K., but it could effect them if they plan on going international. However, if their lyrics are as bad as what you read, yeah, they won't be making it far anywhere. Regarding your comment on Suga, there is no denying Jim Jones and Jonestown was a horrific event. However, the sample he used was from a sermon that was given a year prior to Jonestown. I read what the sample was because I didn't hear it in the song, but I read it as nothing more as words from a sermon. Suga caught a lot of flack for it, but it's not like he was using a sample of the people taking their last breaths or the sounds of gunshots of those who didn't drink. It wasn't someone's last moments on this Earth and that's where there is a huge difference in my opinion.

Their only point to to make sure you’re on beat but if you’ve ever been to a live concert, MOST of the time you see people take them out at some point . Being able to hear yourself is a big thing in singing and in ears make that hard/nearly impossible.

it's natural. Her voice is naturally very nasally and she just doesn't sing that well because of it and because she probably doesn't train in the vocals which is understandable. It shouldn't even matter she debut as a dancer and a rapper. Not that they can't have great voices because a lot of them do but people shouldn't be putting her down because of that. It's not like Twice are known for having the most amazing vocals anyways, not a knock but people are only critizing to be hypocritical. I know right and I decided to do some digging of my own and looked at their past comeback encore stages and I saw that momo sounded really good in those. Like constructive criticism Is fine but I've seen some pretty hateful comments over just a little mistake. Like do pepole really think that you can wake up super early ,get ready for rehearsals, practice, get up on stage sing perfectly without no flaws, then go on the encore stage and sing perfectly their with no flaws for five years over and over and over again without a single break without making atleast one mistake. I mean come on !pepole really need to do their research before they even open their mouths to say anything hateful.

Still remembered to issue happened between Malaysia & NK due to the dead of the relative to NK president. How Malaysia sent kindness & etc but NK including their ambassy were super rude to Malaysia. Soooooo I assumes most NK peoples especially those who hve powers, they just love to be RUDE & TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF whatever they did on the past. Just like Japan & Russia I think. Not entirely but ofc in politics & diplomatic issues, these things are still the same.🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ So, Malaysia cut all the ties with them & called all Malaysian came back home & kicked out NK ambassy peoples back to their country. Being neutral is the best but at the same time, need to be strict on certain things. But SK has facing this problem with NK long long time ago. So I think you guys knows whats best for your country

2Z is a band that debuted in January of 2020. The song "My 1st Hero" is their debut title track, recently they had their first comeback with the title track "Doctor"! I like their music. i was lowkey disappointed(?) in twice's singing but i cant say its their fault. i think it clearly shows that right now kpop is more leaning towards looks and less towards your ability to sing.
