This is great. Most teachers don’t go over why they’re are suddenly contractions or words moved around, so I’ve been very confused sometimes when I speak to natives

This is great. I love the technique of moving the topic of the sentence to its beginning to simplify its structure. Assignment no. 1: 这些地方中我连一个都没去。 Assignment no. 2: 难道你的任务中你一个也没做完? Assignment no. 3: 昨天他太忙了。我的短信中他连一个都没回复。 For an extra challenge, I will rephrase the first assignment from: "I haven't been to even one of these places (although I have been to other places)" to: "I haven't even been to one of these places (let alone lived or worked there)". Here, the emphasis is on "not going" (a verb, or action), rather than "not a single place" (a noun). I think this could be expressed in two ways: 1) 这些地方中我连去都没去过。 2) 这些地方中我甚至没去过。

Great efforts!! Small suggestions, if you stick to the pattern mentioned in the video strictly, you would notice that, ‘中‘ is unnecessary in all these sentences.

And in your last sentence, it’s better to add 都 after 甚至 to make the structure completed.

You're thorough *and* succinct. That's impressive enough, but your impressions make me laugh, and laughter can help people learn. Excellent channel 👍😎

Thanks, this is very helpful! Please make a video on the topic of "always, never, sometimes/occasionally, seldom/rarely, and forever".

对. we tend to shorten commonly used phrases, just like in English “morning!“ means “Good morning!” The complete form is 你学中文学了多久了? And we don’t often hear this abbreviation apply to other VO. For example, it’s much more common to hear 你吃饭吃了多久了?than 你吃饭多久了?
刚 = 刚刚 = just (adverb), It's used before verbs to describe verbs. 刚才 = just now (noun), It's a noun to describe the moment in time. It's gramartically correct to say: 刚才,我刚刚去了商店。
