This fits my theory that Roxy's Raceway was built specifically to keep the Mimic sealed away. And that her eyes were made to see though any disguises it might use.

Corporate isn't going to tell the rank and file that there's a bunch of shit below the raceway that's THAT dangerous. To their knowledge, there's just an old pizzaria down there which shouldn't be draining power like that. And some kind of animatronic design having a different, secret function is also not a new thing. Baby wasn't designed, on paper, to kidnap children. But behind the scenes, she was. Being able to see through materials is a Grade-A useful for identifying something that can hide like the Mimic

ok we all know roxy talks to herself before shows and whatnot. i thought it was roxy saying "still to weak huh?" as to herself to punch herself up to give herself strength. and the fact that mimic talks to her in her voice telling her "you cant beat me" caused her to gasp. her own voice against her.

I don't think so,she actually say u can't win a line used by roxy in security breach.And the biggest question why mimic wants to mimic roxy voice at that moment. Roxy gasp is most likely linked to the fact she realized he is too strong and her defeat comes

Also I clearly heard Roxy say “don’t” before “give up.” She doesn’t have a big ego- on the contrary, she’s constantly shown to be insecure, full of self-doubt. The way she talks to herself before her shows is a technique for helping with low confidence- it’s called positive self-talk, and is commonly recommended for performers specifically to use to help with their nerves. Stuff like “you’re the best,” and “you can do this,” and whatnot. Read that way, during the fight she’s telling herself “don’t give up” to try and shore up her confidence, and the mimic is deliberately undermining her confidence by using her own voice to say “give up,” basically hijacking her habit of self-talk to break down her confidence and make her lose. I do like the idea of her and Cassie reuniting though, and like, teaming up like how Gregory and Freddy do in the main game. Could definitely see a new mechanic being introduced based around like, Cassie serving as Roxy’s eyes, and some kind of story arc where she reassures Roxy and helps her get past her insecurities and see what a badass she really is, so they can beat the Mimic together in the end or something.

Here's my idea for how Ruin 2 could go: Roxy, blinded and hurt by the mimic, encounters the Blob. We see it in the walls. The Blob gives Roxy new eyes so that she can navigate whatever facility she and Cassie had fallen into and gives it a mission to neutralize both the Mimic and Glitchtrap. Roxy agrees to do so because she is told it is the only way to save Cassie who has fallen comatose from both the impact of the elevator crash and the damage the mask did to her brain. Here's the rub: we know that Glitchtrap got into the system with Vanessa's help due to events in the original help wanted game. Then, looking for a new host, it gives the same mask to Cassie which implants something in her head that allows her to interact with "Helpi" who is actually Glitchtrap, even without the mask. As Roxy battles enemies real and digital, she sees more of Cassie's mind and memories and swears to save her no matter what. I really want them to explore Roxy's bond with Cassie, so that's the kind of story I want to see. There's enough evidence to believe that Glitchtrap is involved in Cassie's story just as much as Gregory's. Whether or not he's also the mimic is anyone's guess.

Replayed it a number of times, Roxy's "give up" sounds like there is a word in front of it. "Don't give up" is what it sounds like every time. Roxy has a tendency to hype herself up, so this might be Roxy bolstering herself against the Mimic as it says "give up" in return.

Honestly before HW2 was announced, I was hoping S.B. would get three more DLC stories, each finishing the previous DLC story while also extending the gameplay of S.B. to a full Five Nights. I'm rather disappointed it's only technically two nights played through. Not picky, but I do like when game names fit the gameplay like that

I knew Roxy had to be important to the lore after I saw things in HW2 like her being the only animatronic that isn't a funtime on the title screen, and some things she says like "He's still out there!" that line sounds urgent to me, and I've heard it be said that she's talking about Gregory, but by the time HW2 is taking place, Gregory is long gone from the Pizzaplex (she has no way to know this since she's blind, but I'm just assuming since she's probably got some common sense), so I've theorized that she's talking about William Afton himself, but after watching this video, the possibility that she is talking about the mimic seems just as likely. Anyway, my theories aren't the best, so feel point out any problems I missed, or things that support it.

When you mentioned the hand print in the vent that’s connected to the room where the mimic is trapped, that same mark is in the vent where Burntrap emerges from the recharge station. 🤔 Also, the outline of the handprint looks like Burntraps Right Hand. Especially when you see the pinky, ring, and index finger have a point on it, with the middle finger and thumb not having it.

I think why Roxy is all of a sudden nice is because Gregory wasn’t a visitor he broke in and stayed at night so she didn’t recognize him and got put on finding him in the system and then on the other hand Cassie was registered and she knew her and wasn’t on the service of trying to catch a intruder.

Listening to the audio before you discuss it, it sounds like they struggled for a while before the Mimic managed to subdue her and jacked in similar to what you have to do to Roxy to get down to the Mimic in the first place. The rest of the voicelines (other than the one that sounds like 'I lost') sounds like the Mimic trying to match her voice while Roxy struggles to get out of its clutches before it finishes. Now, this doesn't mean that Roxy is dead. She has no sight, and there's really only one way to get out of there. The Mimic could've just knocked her out and escaped, leaving Roxy to bumble about in the darkness (animatronics are notoriously hard to kill, especially off-screen ones).

as much as i love this theory, you came to it trying to solve a non-mystery relevant information that's already openly explained in security breach and ruin: 1) roxy has a history with cassie and knows she's a good kid, she has reason to protect her 2) none of the animatronics have a history with gregory, the only animatronic that has a positive relationship with him is freddy 3) freddy met gregory before vanny tells the animatronics to hunt him down, freddy knows he's just scared and trapped, he has reason to protect gregory 4) the other animatronics are only targetting cassie because MXES is telling them to based on these first points i'm not convinced we're actually seeing a change in roxy's character, i think the animatronics are just prone to doing what they're told when not given reason to do otherwise 5) we know greggory's backpack was also down there, as well as a radio most likely left behind by him 6) we know gregory and vanessa set up MXES to contain the mimic, but they most likely used old hardware that was already down there 7) we know vanessa is one of three characters with experience shutting down and modifying animatronics 8) we know there's two years between security breach and ruin conclusion: roxy has previously fought the mimic, to distract him while greggory and vannessa seal him away

i think when she says "still too weak huh..." i think shes implying that her "Shutdown" made her groggy. kinda like waking up abruptly from a sleep and your too weak to do anything until you fully wake up.

Couple things, 1) everybody is seeming to forget that Vanessa was a computer programmer before the Vanny/Afton AI infected her and the M.X.E.S. was a program running to keep the Mimic trapped, which Cassie deactivated. 2) We know that the Gregory says “he and his friend” are working together at the end of Ruin and in the true ending of Security Breach Vanessa leaves with Gregory. So, Vanessa is involved somehow. 3) ever since Help Wanted the series has shifted away from ghosts and haunted animatronics to artificial intelligence as the main antagonist so we will probably see Henry creating and installing the Mimic program and Afton corrupting it in Secrets of the Mimic.

@@Bell-gv2zv Not so serious answer to the question: To maximise the haunted factor by building the new places on top of other haunted ruins. More serious answer: the whole series seems to have a theme of inventors improving on and being influenced by each others work. We have the old mostly unknown and presumably unsuccesfull or forgotten fredbear and golden bonnie era and earlier. Then we have the partnership of Henry Emily and Michael Afton and finally the post Henry and Michael Fazbear entertainment trying to rebrand and return. We have several examples of how new Fazbear entertainment tries to dig up and copy old designs and ideas and how that goes horribly wrong like taking parts of Springtrap from the burnt down pizzeria to make the code for the VR game causing Vanessa/Vanny to be possesed and try to revive Burntrap/Michael. Or how building the pizzaplex on top of the pizzeria with Aftons tech allows Vanny to hack it and take it over to help with her plans. Most people speculating about the origins of the animatronic designs seem to think it was either Henry or Michael that invented the original animatronics but maybe they reused even older robotics research that was shut down for being dangerous. People that keep trying to reuse and rebrand dangerous animatronic technology seems to encapsule the fnaf series pretty well maybe it started before Henry and Afton. So if Henry and Michael stole/appropriated the robotics technology then that could be because they bought the abandoned factory or laboratory that made the mimic. If you own a potentially cursed shutdown factory in a central location and you are planing on turning a property into a furnance labyrinth to kill evil animatronics disguised as a pizzeria that might be the perfect building to use. Since it is a shutdown factory you can torch it at night without worrying about hurting innocent neighbours. You can also hide the oversized vent labyrinth if the pizzeria is in a huge factory complex with lots of unused space. So Henry reused a shutdown factory for his pizzeria to burn down the animatronics and the Fazbear entertainment corpo decided to turn the ruins into a landfill and build a new pizzeria ontop of it. Probably to both bury the past and to hide their investigations into the ruins by covering it up with new construction.

With what you've brought up here, its made me think; what if Gregory is NOT a robot but the reason there is so much evidence toward it is because in Security Breach, we are playing as the Mimic, pretending to be Gregory. This makes a lot of things make sense, like Freddy saying "you look different to me" after getting the eye upgrade, and explains Roxy's extreme aggression toward "Gregory" as she can see who he really is and knows she's supposed to stop it from escaping.

Ngl, if roxy did exist she would be my number 1 favourite animatronic. The first time i saw her in game i knew i loved her and i only loved her even more when as gregory i saw her in the vent. I wanted to hug her so bad cause you could tell by her saying all that stuff to herself that she was trying to make herself feel better and be in a less negative towards herself mind set rather than a narcassistic one. At least i could anyway, she is just a sad soul in an animatronic that needs love and i love that about her.

I swear I remember Roxxy telling herself “you’re weak”. And then this made me remember an old theory of two consciousnesses inhabiting Roxxy. With the confident and aggressive Roxxy being the major personality. If one of the personalities DID meet the mimic, the mimic could have told have told Roxxy she was too weak and when fighting him again, that comment could be saying “you think I’m still weak?” Or she was making that comment to her other personality-the one that called her weak. Roxxy was deactivated and yet she is still up and fighting. The major personality was deactivated but the second personality remained. Now she’s making a snide comment to herself because where is the one calling her weak when she has to fight.

honestly, the animatronics seem to have a memory leak problem, some of freddy's lines alude to him remembering things from previous versions of himself, i wouldn't be surprised if roxy had foxy and/or bonny bumping around in her head, or if she had the memories of another version of herself leaking into her own

I think the mimic picked Roxy up in a choke hold and threw her into ground causing her to fall through. I think that because she gasp because she was held by her throat, and she was thrown into the ground causing the ground to break and for Roxy to fall through. Hope this help! 8:00 that just can't be a concrete wall sealing the entrance. It doesn't take 2s to break concrete, it would take at least 1 month. concrete is like cement, it's a very hard structural material that is almost impossible to demolish so fast. So that sealing must've been Plaster & Paper & probably some type of metal making an illusion to look like a concrete-cement looking texture.

I think Roxy's hidden lines are a little more tragic. "Still too weak huh?" Her internal struggles with loosing races and never being able to be the best. This leading to this fight where she doubts herself but still tries anyways, for the sake of Cassie. "(Don't) give up!" (Whilst breaking into tears.) Her determination to win while knowing she can't defeat the Mimic. She must stall for Cassie's escape. The Mimic taunting Roxy with her own voice further tearing into her internally. Roxy jumps in to protect Cassie, quickly realizing the Mimic is stronger. She reflects on loosing her past battles/races, "Still to weak huh?" She thinks of her one friend, Cassie. "Don't give up!" Roxy cries as she does everything possible to keep the Mimic's attention away from Cassie. The Mimic with Roxy's voice, "Give up. You can't win." Roxy sobs as she already knows she will loose the fight and maybe even fail her only friend. The Mimic grabs some large rubble and Roxy gasps as the Mimic slams the rubble down as the finishing blow. "I- Cassie." Her final words as her processors fail. Maybe an, "I'm sorry Cassie." Sorry she wasn't able to stop the Mimic. Sorry they couldn't spend more time together. Sorry she hurt Cassie's arm.

It would be cool if Roxy, Monty, and Chica had been outfitted to fight the mimic if it got out/something happened. Their upgrades given the excuse for entertainment improvements, but really for protection. Roxy's eyes to spot the mimic, Chica's voice to incapacitate it temporarily, while Monty's claws were to fight/disable it.

Gregory could have just tried to run away when he found the room leaving the pak behind either because of a struggle or he tripped and fell leaving the pak in his wake, another possibility is that he was lured there possibly by "Freddy" after all we see discarded parts of Freddy in an area, the mimic could have already copied the voice, and most of the time Gregory only has a watch to communicate with him, but its possible to hack it thanks to the ruin dlc, the only question left is how deep did Gregory go?

I like this take on it. I don't believe the Mimic is the same as Glitch, but rather the first attempt at someone trying to resurrect William after it was brought down there to clear rubble and old parts. Then it was abandoned when it couldn't be a perfect copy and Plan B was the Help Wanted possession plan. With Afton banished in the Mimic saw a chance to get back into the code and escape, prompting Vanessa and Gregory to trap it and either make or repurpose M.X.E.S. to be its Warden. I also think Mimic made Cassie shut down Roxy both to be cruel, and because her dad, the likely protagonist of Help Wanted 2, merged with her. That's where they'd met before, when the Mimic was too weak to kill him itself so it used the Staffbots.

5:51 omg, i just realised, i think this is the mimic, this could be recording of Gregory talking to Vanessa about burntrap or the mimic and burntrap or the mimic tricked Vanessa into helping them so I believe that originally vanessa was trying to rebuild afton but because the mimic 01 program was in glamrock bonnie (assuming Vanessa did use glamrock bonnie for parts) the mimic took over burntrap as well and told Vanessa to do all this stuff and gregory saved her

The mimic is extremely strong and in the books: tales of the pizza plex; after you read the books there’s an extra story at the end and the weird animatronic proves to be the mimic cause it was mimicking others voices

These theories are all interesting, but one question has not been answered, and it has been overlooked. "Will there be justice for Roxanne's eyes?" In all seriousness, If it is we are going to be seeing the factory before continuing the story with Roxanne and Cassey, I am going to be curious as to where they are going to take it and if Roxanne, unlike most of the animatronics that meet an unfortunate fate of disassembly or something else, will be repaired to former glory. It is probably biased, but with so many games, and in this case, it is not the spirit of a child. Perhaps in this case, it would be an interesting change in the FNAF series.
