I think what she means by "risking her life" is that she's depending solely on Twitch for income. Which isn't really smart. There's not guarantee you'll make it big - in my opinion and experience, it's best to have KZbin as a sort of "side job" and work another job until you're lucky enough to become a big content creator. Most people don't usually just get lucky too, there has to be a lot of effort put into it, which I don't think she's willing to do.

I believe by “putting my life on the line” she’s referring to the notion of relying on this streaming business as her main source of income. Which if so, is a rather shallow and dumb point to make. After all being a KZbinr is a roll the dice shot because you need people to appreciate what you post in order for them to give you something back, so definitely get another job on the side, especially if you’re just starting off. You don’t know how it’s gonna go so you shouldn’t just rely on it without knowing how it will turn out. ANd it’s nobody’s problem you don’t have a job or the capacity to get one.

I love twitch streamers. A lot of streamers I watch don't beg for money or bits. They donate money and send bits because the enjoy the streamer
@ishihachi2 жыл бұрын
Yea, the streamers i watch never ask for subs, they just thank people if they do get subs. They even give subs to someone else sometimes. And the best part is that they definitely put more content than this woman.

@@ishihachi Oh yeah. I love hearing 'Thank you for gifting to this person.' or its 'thanks for the bits' or 'donation'

As someone that’s mid 30’s it’s sad to see someone that’s 40 have a mental breakdown for free donations.

I genuinely don't know what it's like trying to make a career out of twitch streaming or youtube or anything, but I have a general idea thanks to people who talk about it. It sounds exhausting even without all the controversy with ads and new rules and double standards, but I started streaming on Twitch while playing some favorite games lately and I don't expect I'll even hit affiliate, but doing it for genuine fun is kind of calming in a way, and the occassional comment or raid really gives my mental health a boost. I wish that for people like this. Do what you like to do, realize being a professional comes with a sea of competition, friendly or otherwise, and just do what makes you happy. None of that is to push anything aside, just being empathetic.
