How I adored Peter when I was in my twenties (back in the 90s) - so tall, built, long black hair and awesome green eyes, with the soul of a poet...his deep-seated fear of seeing people die whom he loved is something I can relate to. I am not afraid to die but the thought of losing everyone I love while I stay behind is pure anguish.

Fortunately, most of you guys have the chance not to understand the cringy introduction by both hosts and just enjoy the ride. I have not this luck and I find their attitude disrespectful, even if it's supposed to be humour. Sure, those who know the show would argue that NPA (the show, I mean, not the french political party) was a show with a lot of jokes and that they did not take themselves very seriously. But I really don't like it when it's meant at the expense of a band who cannot even understand, especially It feels like their humour is meant to mock the band. It pretends to describe seriously the context of the song, but clearly it's meant to mock the band and the song. It pisses me off each time I see the video and ruins a part of the experience after.

@@denabaird935 They deride the content of the lyrics, they deride the personal experience of Peter Steele with one of her former love when having sex with her that is supposed to have inspired the song, they also seem to be sarcastic about the song's quality arguing this song is nice because there's this little part of harpsichord in it they enjoyed. The way it is said is so absurd, you understand it is an antiphrasis. In anycase, the way it is said in this context sounds disrespectful, because Peter cannot even understand. Would be different if Peter and the band had been included, knowing Peter had himself a self-depreciative humour. But it's meant to be an inside joke with the french audience, at the expense of the band who does not know what being said about them.
