I would like to clarify a few things about the above post as the comment section seems to have gotten a little confused as to my meaning: It is obvious fact that all places in all locations harbour some unsavoury types (I shan't go into detail), as much as it is fact that all places breed some very decent, well mannered people. My use of words was to place them in that decent bracket of people, which is commonly referred to up North as 'Salt of the Earth'. Ok let's look at the story here. These boys witnessed a man die and stepped into action to help out. In such a situation, your emotional response is being repressed to perform critical functions. After traumatic events, people often find they have an automatic response to shut down and dissociate as a means to stay safe at a perceived threat. So now these boys are in a strange situation, with cameras, a nervous situation with people talking about a serious incident in a cavalier way. A very surreal situation. My guess would be he's experiencing an adrenaline rush from the situation and zoning out because it's just too much to handle. From the description of what they did it is clear he's able to make astute decisions under pressure. It's funny how people with no life experience can look at this and laugh and make fun, but it just shows that you've not been through difficult situations, or have very low empathy levels.

Really couldn't more proud of these lads. Martin and Brian demonstrated cool heads under very difficult circustances.
