Definitely a bucket list gun for me. Glad to see a solid review on it.

I'm going to do a bench top review soon.

@Ken Kaneki If it's 44 Russian then it should do just fine.

I like to load two at a time. Hold them between the thumb,forefinger, and middle finger. Cut your loading times in half for wheelguns.

When you say you're "still a full half grain from maximum charge" is that max charge for antique, or for the Uberti?
@ammosmith3 жыл бұрын
The Uberti.

I own one but it's DA, I believe it was called the Frontier Model No.3 Fine gun, never shot it though.

Yes! Yours is a No. 3 Frontier. Very nice handgun. Do you know what it's chambered in?
@chapiit086 жыл бұрын
Same as yours, 44 Russian.

They sell ammunition that is safe for use in the originals. I just think those Victorian era firearms are gorgeous.

Yes they are gorgeous. I have a preference for guns of that particular era, like the cap and ball Beaumont Adams, Webley Greene, British Bulldogs, etc. Even the lowly H&R and Iver Johnson break open models from the early 1900's are catching my attention lately. They all take you back in time to a simpler era. Concerning the S&W in .44 Russian I have been somewhat too busy lately that's why haven't shot it yet.
