It would actually be pretty easy and believable to have Rey slide to the darkside. She might start by ending the local slave trade, only to get more and more forceful, as other bounty hunters and criminal organizations refuse to comply. Eventually she would have to become a warlord, crime lord, or empress of the world in order to control it, for their own good. She would have to become the benevolent supreme leader of the galaxy, if she wants to even attempt to ban slave trade, across the galaxy. She would have to stamp out or imprison any who oppose her for any reason.

They wanted to rip off A New Hope and recreate the Empire versus Rebels power dynamic, but it made no sense because the Rebels won. They had to make the New Republic utterly impotent for their little Resistance movement, and the First Order have a ridiculous amount of resources just because. I didn't even even know they threw out the EU to make room for their nonsense, just based off the Lucas Era movies the whole premise didn't make sense in context of what happened in Episode 6. For some reason Disney couldn't imagine how to make a story where the good guys had more resources than the bad guys, and they had to destroy the Star Wars universe to reset the status quo and have the bad guys be the more powerful organization.

Its sad how KK has a huge list of credentials in the entertainment industry, but being a star wars fan isn't one of them. Disney used to be a great company and make great movies until they got heavily political with their company. Yeah i hope the REY movie never sees the light of day as karma for 13 years of failures

If this continues my dreaded nightmare where they hire Mindy Kaling to write and self insert herself to a show or movie would came to reality. And my nightmare can only be described as HBO Velma hate-f@cking all the holes of Disney Plus She-Hulk while Echo and the Acolyte scream at each other how it's the fan's fault.
