Stu is an excellent teacher!!! He is stealthfully teaching you good technique so you don't wreck your hands. If you follow his advise and went to take classical guitar after a few years your teacher would be impressed at what you already knew about technique!!

Thanks very much for your kind comment! I grew up playing nylon string guitar, then rock, then went back to "serious" classical study…then jazz...lots of stages. for all of the, what helped me the most (and made the journey soul satisfying was cultivating a relaxed mind-body awareness...it allows the music to flow freely through us. Many thanks for watching - take good care & happy playing! 🎶

I don't know if you were in Keene in 2003-2005, while I attended Antioch. I hadn't discovered the ukulele at that point, only coming to it a little less than a year ago. I'm just picking it up again and found your videos as I work at re-capturing the fundamentals. Hope all is well up there (I'm in DC). i miss the mountain and the lushness of the forested land in NH.

I have a very cheap plastic ukulele from the Korala brand with my big hands and I don't have the impression that it makes me more musical What do you recommend to a beginner?
@Kriti20244 жыл бұрын
Tenor and concert ukululeles are easier to hold. But what about soprano??!! How do I manage to hold the soprano?..it's a bit of a struggle for me😕
@UkuleleZen4 жыл бұрын
With a soprano it's. good idea to hug it to your chest, allowing the weight of your arm to hold it in place. It take s little time, but you'll get the feel for it! Please subscribe for more videos & tips each week from Ukulele Zen! goo.gl/rMXsnw
