Nice review. Very fair evaluation. I just subscribed to your channel. Take care, EM.

I run a Quick Fuel SS650, would love to see a dyno comparison between the two.

We would have to get our hands on one.

I have mildly built 340 my car is recently built by Mr. Norm’s and I as I can tell it’s pretty much original but I’ve tried a couple different carburetors I can’t seem to get that I don’t want it to warm

Order one through Edelbrock! They're on sale now.

Awesome, guys. I know its early, but I'd really like to see a dyno test between a 7 VRS and a 750 or 850 Holley to see how how they compare on the graph curves. Thx! Prod Edelbrock to sponsor the dyno for you!
@moparconnection2 жыл бұрын
These are the carburetor we were provided with, so it would be a lot to ask for another one. We'll compare the AVS2 vs. the VRS when Marsha's 440 is ready.

One suggestion use newspaper or plastic cover on a picnic bench to keep small pieces from getting away

Well good job. was unaware of the throttle blade sensor. With a Vac gauge, air fuel and that, one should be able to roll on the secondaries and not bog it. Half joke but nice piece.

Thanks for sharing and your right about only the "big guys" seem to get the new things first and of course they're going to give it a full endorsement, whereas it's nice seeing what "regular wrench heads" think.. I might need a new carb for my 70 R/T Challenger when all is said and done. Thanks for sharing! 👍😎 Razor!

This might be the right ticket - depends on how modded your 440 is.

@@moparconnection Thanks for getting back. I should have mentioned I have the 383 in my Challenger..I am trying to locate a period correct "HP" 440 though... 🤔 Will this carb work on the 383?
@moparconnection2 жыл бұрын
It all depends on what intake flange you're running. This fits a 4150 and square bore flange.

I always believed that a Vacuum Secondary Carb was best put on an Automatic car daily driver. I had good luck with a Holley 780cfm. On a Chevy 402BB. And I sold it to a guy that put it on a 440 Wedge. That was over 40 years ago.

Eddlebrock told holley to hold its beer. If i can pull that eddlebrock sticker off it i may get it.

Great comparation , the holley double pumper Is a winner , but quick Fuel Is Best in some features , and demon carbs when the owner Is Barry grant Is the Best , this Edelbrock looks like a real new big dog in the Town 👍🏻
@moparconnection2 жыл бұрын
Barry sold Demon to Holley well over a decade ago. Quick Fuel has been under Holley for a few years too. Besides Proform, there's few other players in the 4150 market besides Holley and (now) Edelbrock.

When Demon was run by BG there was occasionally quality issues mainly bits of metal and machining trash floating around inside. They were cranking em out like hot cakes .

@@mitchellferre1652 some times i ear that , but for personal experience the mighty demon 750 that i use in my 383 run Zero problems.

@@SixBarrel my buddy has a 850 mighty demon that made over 40hp more than a 1050 dominator on a 800+hp 540 Ford. I have a holley 750dp with a proform main body I wouldn't part with on my 440 Chrysler

When I was working at Mopar Muscle Magazine ('04-'07) we had a couple old Demons come in. All of them had CNC shaving in them and needed to be fully disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt. Once we did that, they ran great.
