28 hour battery life is insane! Think ive just found my next laptop for working on longhaul flights.
@obsidian_blue2 ай бұрын
Think you'll find a lot of the others (Intel Lunar Lake and AMD Hawkpoint and likely Strix) will either last longer than the flight or be able to be powered by the inflight power output in your airline seat. Or alternatively buy a Ugreen or whoever 25000 mAh battery and happy days. Personally I still have a reticence towards ARM for windows x86 as there's just too many incompatibilities - particularly with games. T14s Gen 6 (AMD Strix) seems the better option on balance

Increase the battery capacity to 72Wh-75Wh just like that on Yoga Series 14-Inch lapotps. 120Hz should be the standard display refresh rate in 2024.

Wow, the T14s sounds like a powerhouse! The idea of having up to 28 hours of battery life is a game-changer, especially for those long workdays or travel. I’m also fascinated by the Copilot feature - it seems super helpful, especially for tasks like content creation or quick translations. And the fact that it's all packed into such a sleek design with eco-friendly packaging is a huge plus. Has anyone tried using it for creative work or heavy multitasking? I'd love to hear how it handles in real life!

They should have kept the chrome thinkpad logo. The "thinkpad" cutout in the chasis doesn't look as good

this probably their first ThinkPad they touched,
@heroninja11252 ай бұрын
Somehow they took all the perks of thinkpads and deleted them, and made them into uglier macbooks with a nipple on the keyboard. What exactly does this provide over a macbook? Or better yet, why let the framework laptop beat the thinkpad at literally everything that the thinkpads used to be good at. Once framework gets their RISC-V mainboards into the mainstream there will literally be no reason to use a thinkpad, especially for linux compatibility. Also, rather amusing to claim that these devices have a low carbon footprint. The virtue signaling is unreal considering that they arent even 10% close to what framework has accomplished.
