Mr Jeffries. I sure wish I could've met you during my younger days. Didn't really have a coach so I exercised and learned on my on😢😢😢. I hope people who are seriously interested in boxing use these great videos.All I can do now is try to maintain some reasonable fitness during my twilight years. Thank you and take care.😢

Hey tony, i just started boxing maybe 2 werks ago, so fairly new! Honestly i juat started because i saw your drills and because of personal reasons. Thanks for your videos and sharing your experience with us new/vet boxers, i honestly really appriciate it, really! Just a question tho, ive been going to the gym and also doing boxing, im wondering if they cancel eachother out? I just use the gym for building muscle and some people tell me that muscles can make a boxer slow or sluggish. Wondering if thats true, so i thought id ask, thank yall for reading this, any and all tips are welcome
@thusharanup4906 Жыл бұрын
If you train boxing and go to the gym, you'll reach a good middleground I'm sure. Unless you decide to roid up and go ham on the bench haha! People gain muscle very slowly, it'll take years of training in the gym before you gain enough muscle to become "sluggish"

I'm a new boxer. Joined a boxing gym 3 weeks ago. I'm 100 lbs overweight (290 lbs) and very out of shape. I am losing weight, but until it's lost, any advice for me? Is there anything I should be doing differently to compensate for what feels like a temporary handicap?

Hey there tony, I have learnt so much from your videos and they really help me improve my boxing skills! however, there is one problem I am facing currently and that is what pound gloves i should be using as a 14-year-old doing comps. I'm thinking between 8oz or 10oz gloves. currently i am also using 12oz gloves for the heavy bag and it does get a bit hefty after a long sesh on the heavy bag. And again, I am just not sure between the 8oz gloves and the 10oz gloves to do some proper sparring and comps and not getting too fatigued as well. please let me know your opinion on this situation as I do need some guidance. thanks, and keep up the hard work :)
